Namaste Y'all!
Well, i searched hi and lo and can't find these songs anywhere.
Greg mentioned from the stage after the Good Book tune:
"well, that of course, is a ?Ryan Smith? tune"
But the name was kinda mumbled into the mic.
Apres show the next night in Pinos he told me the name of the dude
again, but methinks my ears were full o whiskey :)
There is a Ryan Smith outta MN that's on an IA label...hmmm...any
insight out there?!?!?!
Both are quite dark, delivered with the signature drawn out rumble,
stretching each line into a few measures. Yet the pickin' moves right
along.
?They Call It The Good Book?
Slightly up-tempo
Well, they call it the Good Book and it's a shame,
How could so much evil be done in the Good Book's name?
A god that will kill you, and be so cruel, and let men name you
and maim you and use you like a tool.
They call it religion, they call it reading the signs
They call it a calling and wanting to be divine.
So I read the Good Book and it has to be,
As good as someone I love religiously.
-guitar break-
You stone the sinner and free his mind
The prophets are all armed and the1y seek to free mankind.
They call it the Good Book and it's a shame,
How could so much evil be done in the Good Book's name?
-guitar break-
Yeah, they call it the Good Book and it's a shame,
How could so much evil be done in the Good Book's name?
The god that will kill you will be so cruel, and then name you
and maim you and use you like a tool.
They call it the Good Book...
They call it the Good Book...
They call it the Good Book...
?One Man Crusade / Pick up the Pieces?
Uptempo
Oh it's a one man crusade
And I am rightly afraid of it
Oh and you are alone without me
Well, who says that's how it was to be,
Not me.
Oh no.
-guitar break-
Well, if paradise has wings
Then paradise has hope again [openings?]
Oh yeah
-guitar break-
I know sometimes I might break your heart
I know sometimes I might break your heart
I'm gonna pick up the pieces
I'm gonna pick up the pieces
I'm gonna pick up the pieces
I'm gonna pick up the pieces, again
Of this one man crusade
Of this one man crusade
ooh
uuh
mmm

Well, o.k., that's a lot of the times, so not that much, but ya can't
