Did you get a reply to this? You're right, that was a great show, one
of the best ever. I probably have it kicking around somehwere if you
still need it. I'm pretty disorganized though, so I can't make promises.

I don't check the list too often, so e-mail me directly.

I see that Greg is going to be back up near Traverse City for the
Dunegrass Festival in August. With Iris. Tony Rice and Peter Rowen.
  Looks great!
Gary

I realize this is a response to an old message, and I imagine the
correction has already been made. But just in case, let me correct
something:

Radislov did not play on "The Live One." I should know. I was
there. I produced the concert, and played with Greg as a guest
percussionist. There is no keyboard on that album. Unless somebody
took it home and did their own remix or something.

Subject: File - GBrown-L_Group_Information.txt
GBrown-L@yahoogroups.com
Send Email Send Email

This is a regular administrative message regarding the GBrown-L
discussion group at Yahoo. It is also sent to new members when they
subscribe. Please review it so you understand of the guidelines for the
operation of the group. This message also contains information on
unsubscribing and changing delivery options and has links to other
information.

PLEASE NOTE

Due to the amount of spam, the moderators no longer read mail sent to
the GBrown-L-owner address. See "YAHOO GROUP '-OWNER' ADDRESS" below
for more information.

POSTING - MESSAGE TOPICS

The group is for discussions related to Greg Brown and his artistic
endeavors. It's fine to post messages on Greg's efforts for charitable
causes (such as In Harmony). Occasional messages about his close
associates (such as Bo Ramsey, Dave Moore, Nina Gerber, etc.) are OK.

It is fine to write to the group to let people know about the
availability of commercial products related to Greg (CDs, T-shirts,
etc.).

DO NOT WRITE OR FORWARD TO THE GROUP ANY PETITIONS, VIRUS
WARNINGS, POLITICAL STATEMENTS, CHARITABLE REQUESTS, "BREAKING NEWS,"
ETC. Please do not send "test messages" to the group.

Considerate debate and critical analysis are OK; name-calling or
otherwise attacking other group members is not.

Send messages in plain, simple text. Do not send binary attachments,
nor messages in HTML or "rich text" format. Be kind to your fellow list
members, some of whom have relatively slow dial-up connections!

POSTING - REPLIES

By default, replies to go the original sender. Before sending a
message, check the "To" address to verify that it is going to the
intended recipient(s). Send personal replies and replies only of
interest to one person to the original sender, not to the whole group.

Please use a meaningful subject in messages to the group (not blank or
"Re: Digest Number...").

Quote judiciously. Usually it's best to include a few lines from the
original message so that readers can understand the context of your
replies. Don't quote the whole original message, especially if it's a
digest!

MESSAGES ABOUT "VINES"

Some members of the group like to trade recordings through a structure
called a "vine," in which each person who receives a recording offers
to make copies for others.

If you are offering vine recording(s), your message to GBrown-L *MUST*
have the characters "VINE:" (4 capital letters followed by a colon) in
the subject of the message. This is so people can filter vine-related
messages.

If you are replying to a vine offer, please do so directly to the
person making the offer, not to GBrown-L.

UNSUBSCRIBING AND CHANGING SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS

If you do not wish to belong to GBrown-L, you may unsubscribe by sending
a blank e-mail message to:

   GBrown-L-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

You may also visit the Yahoo Groups web site to unsubscribe or modify
your subscription options:

YAHOO GROUP "-OWNER" ADDRESS

Due to the amount of spam, the moderators no longer read mail sent to
the GBrown-L-owner address, even though Yahoo may still offer this
address in the "To" or "Reply-To" fields of messages. This means:

(1) If you reply to a message via the Yahoo Groups web site, be
sure not to select that "To" address.

(2) If you receive an administrative e-mail message from an
owner/moderator via Yahoo, you cannot reply to that message directly
because it will not be received. Instead, send your message to the
address listed at http://muras.net.

Hi everyone. Greg is going to be performing in Sheridan, Wy on July
21 at the WYO Theater. I'm looking for some live photos to make a
great poster for the event. If anyone has anything they can share,
please email me- I will clear the photos with Greg's management.
I've been trying to get the WYO Theater to book Greg for several
years now, and it's finally happening.
Tickets go on sale Friday June 23, so if you need a good seat, give
me a call or email me.
Thanks and I hope everyone has a great summer!

Did anyone else go to Saturday's amazing concert? I'm sure hoping someone more
diligent and serious was there to record the set list and hopefully the concert.
I'd love to remember more of what was played. I did give Mr. Brown a big sweaty
birthday hug after the concert; I hope I wasn't too creepy.

In spite of the pounding thundershower, complete with a bit of hail just
before showtime, it turned out to be a fine evening for an outdoor concert on a
beautiful hillside with the most beautiful of backdrops. A good time was had by
all.

I've seen Pieta and Bo five or six times in the past two years and my
complaint has always been that you can't hear/understand Pieta's vocals. Not so
Saturday night, clear as a bell.

Wish I had more to tell you all, but I lost track after two songs. The first
song was that Watermelon seed song I've heard tell about and the second was
Betty Ann. I know they played Evening Call and a very strange and wonderful
version of Angel From Montgomery. Bo and Dave Moore played with Greg. I was SO
impressed with how much Dave Moore added. Of course, Bo's always impressive.

So please write a more thorough review, anyone who was there!

   On the wagon,
   Laura from Decorah

YES! I can't wait to hear this one. Any day that I have
a new "Brown" record to play is a *special* day indeed.

But OH-WHAT-A-BUMMER that the record doesn't include the
incredible song "Walkin' On Air" or whatever it's called
that Greg has been playing during the last year?!?!?! :(
Maybe it IS one of the titles listed here and I just don't
know it? I hope so.

I was hoping "Goodwill" will be on there is well.

I always thought "whipoorwill" was a Hank Williams song? I guess it must be
a Greg original.

What a crazy night. Lots of thunder, rain, and hail. Luckily it ended in
time for the main event. It was still rather soggy for the rest of the
evening though. I'm surprised some equipment didn't short out.

All in all it was a good show. Due to the weather, the intermission was
cancelled and Greg took the stage right away. Please review the setlist
below if you are interested.
