The GLRBR will again be re-creating the Allman Brothers Band Holy
Grail show from 6/26/71. This show will be dedicated to the memory of
Evan Aurand, with the proceeds of the show going to a very
special organization "Guitars not Guns".

Evan was a South Bay Area guitarist and amp tech. He had just retired
as a electronic engineer in the Silicon Valley and had moved with his
wife and children to Paso Robles in central California to pursue his
dream of playing music and repairing vintage tube amplifiers. Evan
was a vital member of a local Allman Brother's tribute band, The
Enlightened Rogues, along with playing in several other blues based
acts.

Guitars Not Guns is a local organization that puts on classes and
events for children who do not have the financial abilities to pursue
music. With local chapters around the bay area Guitars not Guns fills
a need where schools can no longer provide music education for
children. GLRBR feels that this is the right organization to support
so that children will have the opportunity to learn to play music and
enjoy the camaraderie of being in a band. Guitars not Guns will also
hold a raffle and give away a guitar as a part of this event.
