RE: [GMEATech] What would you order for a Fine Arts Technology Lab if you could order anything?

You would want Finale in the lab, a site license starts at 10 'seats'.
Each seat cost $120. The initial site license then cost $1200 and any
additional are $120 each up to 30, then the price per seat is only $100.

SmartMusic would be very beneficial to any music education system. You
may want to have computers to run SmartMusic on. SmartMusic is a $100 a
year for the 'base' computer and $25 a year for every computer past the
first one. Students and teachers can all sign up for $25 a year once
the first base subscription has been purchased for that school.

Thanks,

Tom Carruth

Subject: [GMEATech] What would you order for a Fine Arts Technology Lab
if you could order anything?

I have spent hours on this...I have been tentatively offered some money
(between $5,000 & $10,000) to start a MIDI & Recording Suite, however, I
have also been asked to put together a proposal for a State of the Art -
The Skys the Limit, Fine Arts Technology Lab. We have some
opportunities
for grants and big name donations so this well could become a reality.
I
want to include everything because once it's sent and approved I can't
ask
for more.

I am thinking of both hardware & software, cables, power/electrician,
re-modeling 2 classrooms & an observation area between (one way
mirrors/windows already in place), Audio, Video, Desktop Publishing, Web
Design, CD & DVD Authoring, Mics, MIDI Drum set, sound proofing, etc.,
money for instructor, continuing training for the instructor, blank CD's
&
DVD's, printers, labels, storage, security, etc.

If anyone has any prior proposals or a list of their equipment which I
could review for my small suite or any input for the bigger plan I would
sincerely appreciate your help.

Thank you!
