Graduate Assistantship: Georgia Southern University has available one assistantship in music technology for a motivated Masters student. Duties include managing department web pages, assisting in maintaing a 17 station Macintosh computer lab, assisting in running a 16 track recording studio, helping to oversee an undergraduate concert recording crew, and assisting faculty with computer needs. Normal work load is 20 hours per week.
Must maintain a 3.0 GPA with a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester coursework toward a Master of Music in Music Technology degree.

The assistantship begins August 2006 and is renewable for the 2007-2008 school year.
Desirable Qualifications:
Facility with PhP and MySQL
Experience working in a Macintosh-based computer lab
Experience troubleshooting Macintosh and PC computers
Experience assisting university faculty with computer needs
Recording experience
Award is $5,500 plus waiver of tuition (minus $25 tuition fee/semester). An in-state tuition waiver is worth approximately $2200 and an out-of-state tuition waiver approximately $8800 (based on a 9-hour load). Contact the Graduate College for specifics of contract.
