Your 33 has an input jack on the back for a "bank switch". I've never tried it, since I don't have a proper switch for it, but I just wanted to point it out to...
BTW, I agree with you that it's a real shame the GR33 doesn't have an expression pedal input, and doesn't even offer you the chance to remap useful functions...

I don't know about those pieces ... you can probably find manuals online & they will tell you. I did a search for "gr-33 manual download" and found it right...
