Wayne, you're absolutely right about Matt Taibbi. He is a talent to watch. I
shook Bill Clinton's hand once, and I shook Matt Taibbi's. I'm prouder of that.

And yeah, his wiki lays it out better than I ever could here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Taibbi

The selected articles linked to from there are all worth reading. Matt is one
of our few remaining journalists. He's left-wing but intellectually honest. He
wrote an entire book ("Spanking The Donkey") on his experiences covering the
2004 campaign. For all his contempt of Bush, he is merciless on Kerry and the
corporate wing of the Democratic party.

Before he moved on to greener pastures, we had him here in Buffalo for a year or
two. He made mischief in a way none of our home-grown scribblers ever would
have cared or dared to do. We had Mark Twain for a little while too. Who
knows, our public library (if such things survive) just might have a Matt Taibbi
Room one day.

He's that good of a writer. Anything under his byline is worth checking out.
