Description
Sir James Galway has established "Flute Chat" at this location so that visitors can share their flute related experiences, post questions and discuss flute related topics with each other.
- The Galway Network: http://www.thegalwaynetwork.com
- When time permits Sir James will respond to comments and questions.
Participating in discussion groups like "Flute Chat" is always more enjoyable and productive when matters of basic Netequette are observed.
- Minimizing the amount of quotation from a previous message is important. Including only a line or two of quotation from a previous message is often enough to clarify your response.
- Non-flute related questions and comments should be sent to the moderator at Galway-Flute-Chat-owner@yahoogroups.com. "See Group Email Addresses" below.
- Messages of a private nature should be sent privately to individuals rather than being posted to the entire list. If a private reply seems best then please respond in that manner.
- Recognizing the person to whom you are responding with a salutation like "Dear List" or "Dear Everyone" etc. is the polite thing to do and is highly encouraged.
- Signing your posting with your name and geographic location is a very good way to help others respond to your postings with more understanding.
Jazz Flute Specialist and award-winning Canadian jazz flutist, Bill McBirnie, has volunteered to respond to questions about jazz flute. If you have questions about jazz flute playing then don't hesitate to post them in the Galway-Flute-Chat. Bill will reply on the list when his time permits.
