Powerplay magazine's AOR Underground Column. issue is No45.
Gary Moon has just released a new solo CD entitled "Still Moon". You
may remember Gary from working with Jeff Paris on the AOR
classic "Wired Up" as well as his time with Nightranger with whom he
recorded "Feeding Of The Mojo". Last seen in this country at the Gods
festival as part of the Two Fires band, Gary has decided to release
this CD independently. This album was recorded under the monicker of
The Pack shortly after Gary's spell with Jeff Paris and it was the
invitation to join Nightranger that finally saw this album shelved
until now. It's a shame that these songs have lain hidden for over
ten years as they contain some fine AOR moments and Garys voice is
taylor made for this style of music. Songs like "Still", "Call Of The
Wild", "Alayna" and "State Of The Heart" all wear their AOR hearts on
their sleeves while "Queen Of The Damned" with It's Dokken-esque
riffing gives the album a much needed taste of agression. "Angels
Don't Lie" see's Gary at his passionate best and on "Love In A Wicked
World" you can see how he got the job in Nightranger. A thoroughly
recomended CD that you can check out at www.garymoon.com
