Hi guys, this is my first post here. After reading this thread for a few days
thought I would respond. Someone posted about why anyone would go see this band
anymore. I saw REO a few years ago at a large festival where they were on the
bill with many other bands. REO was quite frankly very low on the billing. But
anyhow, the people I saw at this particular show were the people who were
waiting around just to hear the tunes off Hi Infidelity. They didn't know and
could care less about anything before Hi Infidelity. And I'm surprised Kevin
even performs any of the songs from when they were a real rock band. Don't get
me wrong. I like Hi Infidelity, but it was the beginning of the end of REO, and
it does'nt hold a candle to anything they did prior.

I actually felt embarassed for REO and would've been embarassed for myself had I
been seen at this show. I think I stayed at this show about 20 minutes, because
Steely Dan was playing on a different stage at about the same time.

Well, that's a no brainer!! Unless you're with the "I love Dave and Kevin" fan
club!! YUK!!! NO ONE UNDERSTANDS WHEN A BAND SUCKS AS TO WHY!! They are too busy
saying that they are still out there touring!! But with Gary's songs!!

I saw the the show. Very pathetic, to say the least. Look at Neal. He doesn't
enjoy performing these sappy tunes! The tunes they played from the Christmas cd
do not rock at all, in fact it made me yawn! REO used to be a ROCK BAND. There
is no ROCK in anything they do anymore. No creative guitar solos like Gary would
have if he had done the Christmas cd. No solos by Neal anymore, just sappy
crooning by Kevin.

This Christmas cd is a new LOW for the band yet as long as Kevin has complete
control over everything, I'm sure there are new lows to come. Can anyone say
Easter cd? Even the look on Bryan Hitt's face said, "I can't believe I have to

Now wait a minute, I don't think that's right!!! As I remember, wayback in the
waybacks, when I was still the new and improved version with 50% more brain
cells than today, Gary was wearing a shirt (at least around Peoria) that simply
said "Kevin Cronin Sucks." To be fair, he didn't pile on and he simply left the
shirt to do the 'splainin, but.. I think that a percentage of the suckage that
you hear coming from REO doesn't involve Gary. :)

And.. I've been out of the country a long, long time, but what's up with Cronin
