We are gearing up for a STELLAR dance party this Saturday Nov 7th. 
Because of our promo efforts, we've been attracting some amazing
new wonderful heavenly people to our dance floor, and our community
of love is GROWING!!  PLUS, the weather is supposed to warm up
this weekend, just for us!! Meaning an OUTSIDE drum jam! YES!!

Hey Dancers!

This is one of those rare mid-month emails with some news regarding Give Peace a
Dance for the rest of the year  :)

For our celebration on Nov 7th, we are encouraging you to wear your Halloween
costume!!


In December, we are throwing Give Peace a Dance on the 2nd Saturday... December
12th.

Mark your calendar, we are NOT doing a GPAD event on Saturday Dec 5th.
We apologize for any inconvenience, please tell your friends of this
rescheduling :)

Dear Dancers,

Happy Fall!  Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do some driving on the
open road. Taking in the beautiful clouds in a sunny blue sky, meandering
highway through farmland and forest preserve, listening to great music
(Thank you DJ Preston Klik!), and thanking the powers that be for
this amazing life experience.

If you can, wherever you are... stop and take a deep breath.
Count some of the blessings in your life, or all of them, and feel the
gratitude well up from the depth of your being. :)
Thank you for all of the opportunities to connect at our amazing
celebrations!

Dear Dancers,

While I rarely deviate from the once-a-month emailing, this month is one
of those rare exceptions.

I want to say a special thank you to all, for coming out and celebrating
with us this past Saturday.  It was our biggest event yet, lots of new
beautiful faces, lots of people we haven't seen since 8:18, and amazing
new fire dancers!  WHAT A BLAST!! YES!!
The drum circle was tribal, the dance floor groovy, the energy so
so so heavenly!!

This coming weekend, we are anticipating a powerful inward journey.
Preston is offering multiple gong baths, and we are honoring a friend
who served our dancer community, and was integral to our safety
and growth. Details below. Let me know if you have questions.

**Chaldean's Memorial Service**
All are welcome to attend the Memorial of our friend, Chaldean Law.
In his chosen role as "Security" for our beloved events, he was an
integral part of keeping us safe, so we could manifest this awe-inspiring
creative community. Whether or not you got to know him, you are
welcome to join us. Just before he passed, Preston and I thanked him,
on behalf of you... our collective community, for his unwavering
dedication. His response: "You're welcome".
He made his peaceful transition on Monday Aug 3rd, after a lifetime of
adventure, laughter, much love, and powerful journeys.

a short GPAD promo video. Wear fun clothes, bring your smiles and
glowing hearts, be ready to share your enthusiasm and be immortalized
in our promo video!!
 
 
Third... DJ Preston Klik, your awesome resident global DJ has mixed together
30 of his favorite tracks into a "30 song mini-mix".  We've burned 100 copies,
to give out (free) on Saturday June 6th!  I've heard it, it rocks!  Will help you keep
the groove going all month long!  New mixes will be available in the near future.  :)
 
 
Fourth... We have a new outside healing space!!!  Thanks to the
generous donation by Shiva the healer... we now have Tiki Torches
to light up the (completely) secluded outdoor area at GPAD.  If you

We have a new trip to share with you
called "Ocean of Devotion"
 
Preston (my husband and Coproducer of Give Peace a Dance) is leading a
(monthly) sonic adventure this Sunday 5/10, in the form of a gong bath odyssey
that's positively cosmic! 
 
Using 3 gongs, a dozen Tibetan singing bowls, a crystal bowl, thunder drums,
ocean drum and more... you'll take a powerful trip without leaving your seat!

Preston's words:
OCEAN OF DEVOTION is a gentle-but-dynamic, 70-minute acoustic
group concert-meditation. OCEAN is most often very quiet, but
sometimes challenging in the power of its intensity. I play a dozen
7-metal Bombay Temple Bowls, a trio of gongs (including a customized
36-inch HEART GONG), plus white crystal bowl, rainstick, nut shells,
superballs(!), ocean & water & thunder drums, chimes, dorje
& bell, various mallets, etc.
 
Surrounded by candles, this richly cinematic musical odyssey-meditation
is as beautiful to the eye as it is to the ear, heart, body, and mind. I've been
a professional musician all my life, and I really love this OCEAN Gong Bath -
and I hope you will too! Very relaxing and often healing, OCEAN also
inspires deep inner journeying in a community context.

HAPPY HOLY-DAYS!!!  Let's complete this year in CELEBRATION AND LOVE!
What a year huh?  Hope yours has been a wonderful adventure.
It's been surreal for me, more than ever before.
Divine Order has thrown so many curveballs at me this year, that I can
only giggle at the sur-reality of it. btw, note that we are NOT doing
a January "Give Peace a Dance".  We'll be resting up from our
AWESOME New Year's Eve celebration (which you are invited to).....

that will be filled with light, laughter, lots of love, drumming, food, 2 dance floors,
performance art, experiential performances, live sitar, live vocalists, henna,
fortune tellers, an art gallery, meditations, yoga, kirtan, breakfast, AWESOME
PEOPLE, and whatever else we can possibly include!  :)

$ 30 at the door w/ rsvp, $ 10 for everyone after 1 am.

Please note that this IS a conscious event, and is non-sober.
We are not serving alcohol, you can BYO (w/restrictions)
 
BYO beer, wine, champagne, wine coolers OK. 
No hard liquor, over-intoxication not tolerated
(Dancers, I don't want to deal w/'drunk' energy any more than you do, this
celebration is for your responsible grown-up inner-child to come out and
party!).

•"Silver Clouds" (trippy) Experiential Space
•Live SITAR by Alexander Duvel in the Zen Den 9p - midnight
•Glo-stick dance-party experiential performance
•Henna artist Sabreena the Henna Healer 9p - midnight
•White Glove Dance experiential performance
•DJ Preston Klik in our One-derland dance floor
•DJ Dave Zim in the Garden of Eden dance floor
•AngeLynx readings by John Sacelli
•Windows of your Life guided visual meditation led by Emily
•Art by Adrian and fellow Institue of Art students!
•Vegetarian food, + high-quality electrolyte served + tea bar
•3:30 am breakfast bar (scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, maybe pancakes too)
 
•"Hall of Intention" w/ 3 places for you to create intention for 2009...
Intention to MANIFEST, Intention to RELEASE, Intention to CONNECT
Bring your intentions for 2008 and 2009! Add your intentions where you feel
it's appropriate We will have this space Present through New Year's Day!
Then will release the intentions to Spirit in a simple quiet ceremony on
1/2/09. :) You may also email intentions to Emily to include, if you are
unable to be physically present.
