IN THE NEWS: Its been nearly four years since their last project, but the vocal duo ANOINTED finally returns on April 5th with Now is the Time. This is the fifth studio album for Steve Crawford and his sibling, Da’dra Crawford Greathouse, and features new songs produced by Warryn Campbell (MARY MARY, RUBEN STUDDARD) and Mark Heimermann (JACI VELASQUEZ, AMY GRANT). Also gospel legend ANDRAE CROUCH makes a special appearance on the track “Jesus Is Lord,” a song he originally wrote and performed over two decades ago. <><
The newest members of the Gospel Music Association’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame will be honored on an upcoming Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) program. The GMA Foundation will induct Walter Hawkins, Mylon Le Fevre, Evie Tornquist, The Lewis Family, Ron Huff, Don Light and Lou Hildreth into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Christian comedienne Chonda Pierce will host the ceremonies that will be taped Tuesday (Feb. 22nd) at Trinity Music City in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The Hall of Fame awards show will feature performances by REBECCA ST. JAMES and NEWSBOYS (the band’s frontman, Peter Furler, is the son-in-law of inductee Mylon Le Fevre). Also scheduled to appear on the program are AMY GRANT, CECE WINANS, and BILL GAITHER. <><
