IN THE NEWS:
AUDIO ADRENALINE has announced they will disband in 2006 after 15 years together. Audio A frontman Mark Stuart has been experiencing vocal cord problems and doctors are advising him against continuing his live performance schedule. “Fifteen years of rock 'n' roll takes a toll on the vocal chords, but I wouldn’t trade a day of it for anything,” according to Stuart. “Touring and making records with Will, Ben and Tyler has truly been a gift from God, as well as worshiping night after night with the greatest fans on the planet.”
The band plans to release their final album, a greatest hits compilation entitled “Adios,” later this year and tour select dates and festivals through 2006. A special edition of the project will include a DVD containing Audio A videos, live performance footage, and interviews from artists TOBYMAC, STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, MERCYME, PILLAR, RELIENT K and NEWSBOYS.
The group has sold over three million records in its career, scoring 18 No. 1 radio singles and winning four Dove Awards and a GRAMMY in 2004 for “Worldwide.” Also Audio A’s album, “Bloom,” was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1999 and the band received the “Song of the Decade” award in the 90s by CCM Magazine.<><
Grammy nominated and Dove award winner PAUL COLMAN has officially joined his fellow Aussies’ band, NEWSBOYS. Colman, who began performing with the group at a January 13th. concert, will serve as a guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter. According to the former leader of the PAUL COLMAN TRIO, no immediate plans are in the future to continue recording as a solo artist. "Over the last five years I have done about 100 shows all over the world alongside the Newsboys,” Colman said. “We've been mates for
a long time and it truly feels like I'm joining a bunch of friends that I have a lot of history with.”<><

The New Orleans-based Alt/Rock band MUTE MATH (formerly EARTHSUIT) has severed ties with their Christian label Word Records. In a recent newspaper interview, frontman Paul Meany said that, even though the band’s members are Christians, Mute Math does not want to be marketed as a Christian band. Meany complains that the band was "getting pigeonholed into this particular world that we weren't
necessarily proud to be associated with, because we aren't really fans of the music or fans of the cause of the music." Meany added, "We don't fit into that. We're not trying to preach through our music; we don't have some kind of evangelistic agenda." While recording together as Earthsuit, the band had a Christian radio hit in 2002 with the song, “White Horse.”<><
