The ninth Passion project will hit store shelves on April 4th. “Passion: Everything Glorious” was recorded live at the Passion ‘06 gathering held in early January in Nashville and follows eight other Passion recordings that have over one million albums. Over 18,000 college students representing 50 states and 20 countries gathered for the four-day event that featured lead worshippers CHRIS TOMLIN, DAVID CROWDER*BAND, MATT REDMAN and CHARLIE HALL.
In a press release, Passion Conferences’ founder and director Louie Giglio says, “Passion recordings exist to glorify God, uniting students in worship and prayer for spiritual awakening in this generation.” “The hope is that with ‘Passion: Everything Glorious’ students will continue to be encouraged by the messages of Passion ‘06 and use these messages to motivate change on their campuses and in their communities,” Giglio added. <><
CECE WINANS and her Puresprings Gospel record label are accepting song submissions from worship leaders across the nation for a future album from the singer. “CeCe Winans Presents: The Worship Leader” will showcase some of the most powerful original worship songs that are sweeping churches across America. <><
A new website will launch this month to provide modern worship resources for churches with contemporary services. Greatworshipsongs.com, a service of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, offers worship leaders downloadable lead sheets, chord charts, lyrics and complete songs from many popular artists, such as MICHAEL W. SMITH, CASTING CROWNS and THIRD DAY.
According to Steve Rice, executive director of the site,
worship leaders and musicians can then use these resources to help their congregations discover powerful new songs for personal and corporate worship: “I am humbled to be able to play a role in equipping those who lead worship around the world. Worship music reflects the believer’s ever-increasing revelation of our amazing God,” Rice said. “As new songs of response are birthed, we want Greatworshipsongs.com to be at the forefront of making them available to others throughout the world,” he added. <><
