The recent “Colour Your World” conference sponsored by Hillsong Church brought over 12,000 women together in Sydney, Australia. Speakers including Jordan Rubin (author of the best-seller, “The Maker's Diet”), Deborah Cobrae (The Rock Church, San Bernadino, California), Nancy Alcorn (Mercy Ministries of America), Hillsong's Bobbie Houston and DARLENE ZSCHECH gave powerful messages of God's divine purpose for women. <><
The latest album from Christian Rock band KUTLESS is zooming up the charts. Their fourth project, “Hearts of the Innocent,” is at no. 2 on the overall Christian charts and no. 45 on Billboard magazine’s mainstream Top 200 chart. Also on last Tuesday night’s episode of NBC-TV’s “Scrubs,” “All Of The Words,” from Kutless’ “Strong Tower” album, was used for several minutes during a scene on the popular comedy. <><
British Rock/Worship band DELIRIOUS? recently performed in Hyderabad, India for over 1.2 million people at one of the largest Christian events ever to take place in the nation. The band, who opened for evangelist and best-selling author Joyce Meyer, performed in front of more than 400,000 each day of the four-day event and witnessed hundreds of thousands make commitments to Christ. DIRECTV, a national direct broadcast satellite service, will air an original one-hour Easter special featuring Dove Award-winning artists NICOLE C. MULLEN, KIRK FRANKLIN and POINT OF GRACE. “Songs Of Praise” is hosted by NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip and will also showcase some of the country’s most renowned church choirs. The TV special will premiere on DIRECTV’s channel 103 on Friday, April 14th, and continue with back to back airings throughout the Easter weekend. <><
Female Christian pop/rock band BARLOWGIRL will be the focus of an Associated Press story to be released to newspapers nationwide on Tuesday (April 4th.) The story will run with an AP photo from their recent Knoxville, Tennessee concert and will concentrate on the three Barlow sisters’ success in mainstream and Christian music, including their five Gospel Music Association Award nominations for this year. <><
