The CRABB FAMILY is disbanding after 16 no. 1 songs, three Grammy nominations and 10 GMA Dove Awards.  Brothers and sisters Jason, Terah, Adam, Kelly and Aaron plan on a final tour with their last concert together scheduled for August 1st, 2007. <>< Alisa Childers of ZOEGIRL is leaving the female contemporary Christian trio after seven years—and sales of over one million records worldwide—to go solo.  For more information, visit www.AlisaChilders.com. <>< MARTHA MUNIZZI is releasing a DVD companion to her latest best-selling project, No Limits, later this month.  The DVD was recorded live at Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and includes backstage footage of Munizzi and her band and Praise team, dancers and production staff. <>< Modern worship band SPUR58 will make their national debut with Sleepwalkers, which is set to hit stores around the US on October 10th.  For several years, frontman Aaron Ivey, guitarists Jimmie Ingram and Chad Martin, bassist Steven Bush and drummer Guy Roberts have criss-crossed the United States in a van, playing more than 200 dates each year. <>< STACIE ORRICO’s latest album, which was set for a late August release, has been officially pushed back in the US until early January 2007.  Her first project since 2003, Beautiful Awakening will probably still be released overseas in Japan and other countries as planned. <>< REBECCA ST. JAMES has a supporting role in a new film hitting theaters this fall.  According to a press release, St. James plays “Colleen, the concerned wife of a reporter who seems to be losing his passion for God,” in Unidentified, a movie about two reporters investigating a UFO sighting in their small Texas town (www.unidentifiedthemovie.com)<>< The GRAMMY© Awards has established a new Christian rap category for next year’s competition.  The “Best Rock Gospel or Best Rap Gospel” GRAMMY© Award will honor the rapidly growing “Holy Hip Hop” movement in the gospel music industry. <>< Sparrow Records will issue two special Christmas projects on September 26th.  Unexpected Gifts will feature SANCTUS REAL (“Silent Night”), DAVID CROWDER*BAND (“Feliz Navidad”) and CHRIS TOMLIN (“Angels We Have Heard On High”).  Also Celtic vocalist Moya Brennan’s An Irish Christmas will showcase Uilleann pipes, fiddles, tubular bells and harps on classics such as “Joy To The World” and “Oiche Chuin (Silent Night).” <><
