This is the September 5, 2006 edition of Glory2Glory Christian Music E-zine!, a contemporary Christian music and modern Worship newsletter distributed to gospel music enthusiasts around the world.
VERSE OF THE
WEEK:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9 KJV)
SOUNDBYTES:
SONICFLOOd will release Glimpse: Live Recordings From Around The World on October 31st. The new album was recorded at concerts in Australia, Brazil, India, Ireland, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, the Bahamas, Thailand and Turkey. Also the band’s nationwide tour, sponsored by the International Missions Board, will hit more than 60 churches and venues in 23 states this fall. <>< HAWK NELSON’s new music video for "The One Thing I Have Left" has been added in rotation at mtvU, an MTV
network produced exclusively for the college audience on more than 730 universities and reaching over 6 1/2 million students. The Canadian band will headline their Smile, It’s the End of the World Tour before joining JEREMY CAMP’s Beyond Measure Tour later this fall. <>< PLUMB (a.k.a. Tiffany Lee) is expecting her second child any day now, but is still making time to work on a new project—an all-lullaby album. No official release date yet for the album, which Lee describes as a “great novel record for adults to own that their babies and kids can enjoy.” <>< CHRIS TOMLIN has released a digital EP that is only available online on iTunes and
other digital services. The Made To Worship EP features live versions of “Indescribable,” “How Great Is Our God” and “Your Grace Is Enough.” Tomlin, who was named GMA’s Artist of the Year, will release his fourth studio album, See The Morning, on September 26th. <>< A Country music superstar band “finds religion” with a new gospel project this fall. Following up on the No. 1 status of country crooner ALAN JACKSON’s recent gospel record, the Country Music Hall of Fame’s ALABAMA gets ready to release Alabama—Songs of
Inspiration, an album of traditional hymns and standards, set to hit stores on October 24th. The band’s first new album in over five years will include the classics “Rock of Ages,” “How Great Thou Art,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Amazing Grace” and, believe it or not, a version of “Jesus Loves Me (This I Know).” <><
