This is Glory2Glory Christian Music E-zine!, a FREE contemporary Christian & modern Worship music newsletter, distributed to Christian and Worship Music enthusiasts via the World Wide Web.

In the news this week, SONICFLOOd news; audio version of The Message features your favorite artists; C.C. Winans records Worship album; artist birthdays; album releases; Ark-La-Miss concerts; "Actual Summaries of Accidents on Insurance Forms," and much more!

In the news this week--

SONICFLOOd has just returned from a concert in Mexico City, but all of the band members became ill with frontman Rick Heil ending up in the hospital receiving a blood transfusion (he is reportedly doing "great" now.)  Also Heil's wife CeCe is expecting their second child any day now and the proud parents have already named their "son" Jordan who will join two-year-old sister Jaedyn.  Also bassist Thomas O. Michael has written two Bible studies based on the songs "Shelter" and "Famous One" from their new CD, "Cry Holy."  Fans and musicians can download the studies and the songs for free along with the chord charts for each song at:

One of my favorite versions of the Bible, "The Message" by Eugene Peterson, is being released on an audio version with New Testament books read by some of your favorite artists.  Recording their favorite books of the Bible were Steven Curtis Chapman, tobyMac, Rebecca St. James, Janna Long (Avalon), Dan Haseltine (Jars of Clay), Mac Powell (Third Day), Bart Millard (MercyMe), Danielle Young (Caedmon's Call), and Mark Stuart (Audio Adrenaline)Charlie Peacock is producing the recording and has also written a song for the project called, of course, "The Message." The audio will be available on three MP3 CDs ($24.99) or 20 audio CDs ($49.99) and will be simultaneous released with a hardback edition of "The Message Remix", a special edition of The Message Bible with numbered passages (the original version didn't include verse numbers.) <><

Also a bunch of your favorite Christian artists have officially endorsed DATA, which was formed by Bono of U2.  This organization was formed to educate the public about the AIDS epidemic, famine, and poverty in Africa and hopefully get government officials to provide relief to the continent's victims.  Those in the Christian Music field include Dex Alexander (All Together Separate), The Benjamin Gate, Margaret Becker, Ceili Rain, Nate Cole (Plus One), dc Talk, Jeff Deyo, Natalie Grant, Grits, Jars of Clay, Jennifer Knapp, Rachael Lampa, Sarah Masen, Kevin Max, Newsboys, Nichole Nordeman, Out of Eden, Charlie Peacock, Relient K, John Reuben, Sixpence None the Richer, Switchfoot, Tait, Third Day, and tobyMac.

Bono personally visited President Bush  to seek help from the U.S. government to send relief funds into Africa (as we know, Bush made an historic promise to send billions of dollars of aid to the continent and is now on the way to the continent.)  Also Bono has urged U.S. citizens to call and write their Congressmen before the key vote this Thursday on spending.  ''This is the defining moment of our generation,'' Bono said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.  ''In 50, 60 years, people are gonna ask questions: Did you really let millions of people die while you had medicines you could distribute?  If these questions are not asked in the schoolbooks of the future, they will certainly be asked when you meet your maker.''

While on his European Tour recently, Michael W. Smith visited Bono at his home in Ireland to discuss DATA.  After his concert in Dublin, Bono sent his private car to pick up Smitty for the chat between friends. <><

CeCe Winans' new worship album, "Throne Room," will hit the street September 9th.  Produced by Victor and Cedric Caldwell (Whitney Houston), Winans wrote or co-wrote almost every song on the project including the title track co-written with longtime friend and gospel legend, Andraé Crouch.  Winans says she "hopes to draw people nearer to the throne of God through the words and music" on her new CD.  "I have changed because of this album," adds Winans.  "Worship is not about us--it's not about our circumstances or what we need.  It's just about worshiping God for who he is.  Period.  When we learn to do that, then we'll create that atmosphere in which God can work in our lives," she said. <><

Teen CCM group Jump5 has been named spokespersons for Radio Disney's National Family Pledge Drive.  Their goal is to get over one million signatures by September 15th.  from families who will commit to spending more time together.  Also Jump5, who are touring with Aaron Carter this summer, will record a new version of the classic family anthem, "We Are Family," which will be included on their new album "Accelerate" on store shelves October 7th.  <><

Chuck's Chuckles:
(These are actual statements from insurance forms where drivers attempted to summarize the details of an accident in the fewest words possible.)

Actual Accident Summaries--

--Coming home, I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don't have.

--I thought my window was down, but found it was up when I put my head through it.

--The other car collided with mine without giving warning of its intentions.

--I collided with a stationary car going the other way.

--A truck backed through my windshield into my wife's face.

--A pedestrian hit me and went under my car.

--The guy was all over the road.  I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him.

--I pulled away from the side of the road, glanced at my mother-in-law and headed over the embankment.

--In my attempt to kill a fly, I drove into a telephone pole.

--I had been shopping for plants all day and was on my way home.  As I reached an intersection, a hedge sprang up obscuring my vision and I did not see the other car.

--I had been driving for 40 years when I fell asleep at the wheel and had an accident.

--I was on my way to the doctor with rear end trouble when my universal joint gave way causing me to have an accident.

--As I approached the intersection a sign suddenly appeared in a place where no stop sign had ever appeared before.  I was unable to stop in time to avoid the accident.  To avoid hitting the bumper of the car in front, I struck the pedestrian.

--My car was legally parked as it backed into the other vehicle.

--An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my car, and vanished.

--I told the police that I was not injured, but upon removing my hat found that I had a fractured skull.

--I  was sure the old fellow would never make it to the other side of the curb when I struck him.

--The telephone pole was approaching.  I was attempting to swerve out of its way when it struck the front end.  I was thrown from the car as it left the road.  I was later found in the ditch by some stray cows.

--The indirect cause of the accident was a little guy in a small car with a big mouth.

--The pedestrian had no idea which direction to run, so I ran over him. <><
