Fans of JENNIFER KNAPP can help the singer/songwriter compile the song list for her greatest hits album set to be released November 4th. "A Diamond In the Rough--The Jennifer Knapp Collection" will be a two-disc set with Disc One containing the top 12 songs selected by fans. The way this works is three songs will be picked from each of Knapp's three CDs, "Kansas," "Lay It Down," and "The Way I Am." Then fans will select their two favorites and can write a testimony about what they like about the song and how it has impacted their life. Gotee Records will choose one for each song from among these testimonials and include them in the album packaging with the writer receiving credit. Worship Together.com will host the next "NationWide" training conference at The People's Church in Nashville October 9th.-11th. This three-day training summit for local church worship leaders will include speaker Rick Cua and British songwriter/worship leader TIM HUGHES. The NationWide training seminar strives to "inspire, train, and equip churches and their members for corporate and personal worship." AMY GRANT's first new "pop" project in six years, "Simple Things," releases this week. In support of her new record, the legendary singer recently performed at local churches in nine different cities around the U.S. and also headlined a benefit concert for victims of spring tornadoes in Jackson, Tennessee. This Friday morning (August 22nd.), Grant will perform on NBC-TV's The Today Show's summer outdoor concert series. Also Vince Gill's better half will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 4th. and on ABC-TV's The View on September 10th. <><

SOUNDBYTES: JACI VALASQUEZ is rumored to have married "Darrin" in a private ceremony last Saturday, 8/16/03 (on the 26th. anniversary of Elvis Presley's death.) <>< Leigh Nash of SIXPENCE NONE THE RICHER has a song featured in the new movie "Uptown Girls" starring Brittany Murphy and Heather Locklear. "A Charmed Life" is heard in the film now in theatres and is featured on the soundtrack on store shelves. <>< MERCYME's album "Almost There" has been certified platinum (over 1 million in sales.) Their latest project, "Spoken For," has also produced two mega hits with "I Can Only Imagine" (currently at #15 on mainstream Adult Contemporary and #29 on mainstream Top 40 charts) and "Word of God Speak," which has hit #1 on Christian AC and Inspirational charts. <>< Remember the single "White Horse" a couple of years back by the eclectic group EARTHSUIT? The band hasn't been on the charts since, but frontman Paul Meany has announced the New Orleans natives will release one more album before calling it quits for good. Meany has lately been playing in his own band MATH and writing and recording music for a new Earthsuit record to be released this fall. <><
