MERCYME's "Word of God Speak" from their latest album Spoken For is setting records on several music charts. The single has been at #1 for over ten weeks on R&R Magazine, CRW, and PDA's Adult Contemporary charts. Also the band's "I Can Only Imagine" continues its phenomenal climb on the mainstream charts, hitting #13 on AC and #34 on Top 40 radio. The success of this single has prompted MercyMe to be asked to headline a September 11th. hero's tribute concert in Dallas with all secular artists including Sugar Ray, Hillary Duff, Smash Mouth, and others. <><
ANDREW PETERSON recently returned from the 26th. annual Flevo Festival in Europe attended by more than 10,000 young people. Peterson also appeared at the Gospel Music International Music Partners Sales Conference in Holland and performed for record reps from Denmark, Norway, Germany, Bulgaria, and Switzerland. <><
SALVADOR will release their first live album and DVD on September 23rd. "Worship Live," produced by CHRIS RODRIGUEZ, was recorded at Calvary Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico and features live versions of "David Danced," "Lord I Come Before You," "Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord," "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," "As the Deer," "We Fall Down," and "Here I Am to Worship." The band that hails from Austin, Texas joins JACI VELASQUEZ on tour this fall and will also perform at Disney's Night of Joy, Promise Keepers, and a Franklin Graham Crusade. <><
SOUNDBYTES: SWITCHFOOT has the distinction of being named Internet industry giant Yahoo!'s "Featured Artist of the Month" for September. Also the band will perform their crossover hit "Meant To Live" on NBC-TV's "Carson Daly's Late Night Show" on Wednesday, September 10th. <>< JACI VELASQUEZ performed the National Anthem at the recent 2003 Pepsi Major League Soccer All Star Game. <><
