Among Thorns is the first CCM band ever to get key placement at a NASCAR Busch Series race. The Worship Extreme artists will be featured along with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the nationally televised Busch Series event in Memphis on October 18th. Among Thorns' logo will be painted on the hood of the number 3 car owned by PPM Racing. Also through October 12th., $2 from every sale of the band's latest album, "Draw Near," that is purchased on the PPM Racing website (www.ppmracingstore.com) will be donated to St. Jude's.
NASCAR is the fastest growing sport in the nation with over 1 million homes viewing
the NASCAR Busch Series and 4 million viewing the Winston Cup Series weekly. Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, and MercyMe have been nominated in the "Favorite Artist-Contemporary Inspirational Music" at the American Music Awards. Chapman will also appear as an award presenter on the three-hour special on ABC-TV on Sunday, November 16th. beginning at 7:00 PM CDT. <><
Steven Curtis Chapman also will participate at the Congressional Angels In Adoption Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C. on September 30th. Chapman will perform for attendees and appear with this year's national award recipients, Bruce Willis and Muhammad Ali. CCM artist Geoff Moore, who with his wife, Jan, have also adopted two little girls from China, will perform "Swept Away," a song he wrote in honor of his latest adopted daughter. <><
The Acquire the Fire conferences, hosted by Teen Mania and uniting thousands of teens in cities across the country for "worship, teaching, and powerful experiences with God", will feature new CCM band Jonah33. The conferences are coming this fall to Amherst, MA; Chicago, IL; St. Charles, MO; Louisville, KY; Cleveland, OH; Charleston, SC; and Phoenix, AZ. <><
As Glory2Glory first reported in our August 18th. issue, Jaci Velasquez married drummer Darren Potuck from Goshen, Indiana on August 16th, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Franklin, TN in a ceremony kept secret to protect the couple's privacy. Family and close friends were treated to a reception featuring an "incredible" red velvet cake adorned with antique broaches and Spanish Tapas and Paella. <><
Paul Colman Trio's single, "Turn," is featured in promos for NBC's self-help TV talk show "Dr. Phil." The song is highlighted in a series of promotional ads that launch the program's second season, focusing on "Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge." Also PC3 recently opened for 80's pop and soap opera star (and fellow Aussie) Rick Springfield in a Virginia Beach, VA concert. The trio embarks on its first American headlining tour September 25th. in Chicago, IL. <><
"Achy Breaky Heart" singer Billy Ray Cyrus has signed with Word Records and will release his debut gospel album, "The Other Side," on October 28th. The album features guest appearances by 80's pop icons Richard Marx and Kim Carnes; Denise Walls of Anointed; and gospel legends, the Jordanaires. Cyrus has sold over 14 million albums in his career and also stars in the #1 rated PAX-TV series "Doc", beginning its fourth season on Oct. 5th. <><

Top 10 Stupid Things To Do In A Drive Through--
10. Drive through backwards.
9. Barter-Offer the order-taker a Whopper for a Big Mac.
8. Walk through.
7. Attempt to take the order-takers' order ("Hi, may I take YOUR order?") before they get a chance to ask for yours.
6. Order confusing items ("Hi, I'll have a large orange Coke and a small medium fries, please." )
5. In a crowded drive-thru line, place a HUGE order & then slip out of line and watch as the person behind you is handed 40 bags of food.
4. When you arrive at the window to pick up your food, hand them a bag of garbage & ask if they'll dispose of it for you.
3. Have a friend hide in the trunk. When you approach the window to pickup your order, have him start yelling and banging his fists on the trunk.
2. If you are a male, have a female friend place the order (or vice-versa.) When finished, have them hide and you pull up ALONE to accept your order.
1. Change a flat tire in the drive-thru lane.
