IN THE NEWS:
The U.S. Army is teaming up with MARK SCHULTZ to educate soldiers about potential hazards while serving their country. The new campaign is called “Be Safe – Make It Home” and is targeted at servicemen and women. The program, which kicks off June 7th., will also inform the general public of their need to encourage servicemen and women to “Be Safe.” Schultz’s latest radio hit “Letters From War,” which deals with a soldier returning home safely from war, will be the centerpiece of the Army’s latest awareness campaign that includes a music video, training video, and Public Service Announcements that feature the song. Brigadier General Joseph Smith hopes the program will help educate soldiers and the U.S. public of the Army’s high-rate of fatalities from accidents. “Statistically, this has been a rough year for Army accident casualties. In an attempt to reverse this trend, the Secretary of the Army initiated the ‘Be Safe’ campaign to educate soldiers, with the end result of keeping them alive and well.” General Smith added, “We want our troops to be safe and make it home when participating in everyday activities that can lead to accidents such as driving, swimming, and biking.” <><
