IN THE NEWS:

Rumors are circulating on various websites that a third album affiliated with Mel Gibson’s blockbuster movie The Passion of the Christ will be released.  The project would be a soundtrack to mark the video release of the film on August 17th. with contributors to the album to include JARS OF CLAY; P.O.D.; and Scott Sapp, frontman of CREED.  17 million copies of The Passion will be shipped in its first week of release.<><

The Desperation Conference 2004 is set for July 22nd. through 24th. at the World Prayer Center (New Life Church) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Desperation began as a gathering of students praying and fasting at the church pastored by Ted Haggard.  Since the movement’s humble beginnings in the summer of 2002, these intense gatherings have spread across the nation with many students starting similar prayer meetings on their school campuses and in their local churches.  Now the DESPERATION WORSHIP BAND, that features three Oral Roberts University alums (Jared Anderson, Jon Egan, and Glenn Packiam,) has released two modern Worship albums that have produced several radio hits including “Rescue” and “Beauty of the Lord.”
