A new book featuring 15 original essays and stories from some of Christian
music’s biggest artists is set to be released Sept. 21st. The Art of Being
will include contributions by Jon Foreman of SWITCHFOOT, SARA GROVES, Matthew
Odmark from JARS OF CLAY, GLORIA GAITHER, PHIL KEAGGY, Don and Lori Chaffer of
WATERDEEP, and TAMMY TRENT. The publisher, Shaw Books, promises The Art of
Being will explore ”what it really means to ‘be’ who we are…on your
journey toward discovering your true identity and…finding a satisfaction that
lasts.” All proceeds go to benefit FINDINGbalance.com, a faith-based
organization based in Franklin, TN that provides information and resources to
those who struggle with or have loved ones that have eating and image issues.

Singer/songwriter SHAUN GROVES is now a pastor. The Rocketown recording artist
has accepted a part-time position as a co-Minister of Post High School/College
Young Adults. He will help teach a community of young adults called “IKON”
every Thursday night at The People’s Church in Franklin, TN. “Young adults
between the ages of 18-25 are the stepchildren of the family of God, it
seems,” Groves said. “We hope to provide a forgotten generation with a
biblically-based bridge from childhood to adulthood, from their generation to
others'.” <><
SOUNDBYTES:
The annual “Winter Wonder Rock” two-day Christian music festival is set for
Dec. 3rd. and 4th. in The Netherlands. Scheduled to perform for this 6th.
edition of the festival is BARLOWGIRL, PILLAR, O.C. SUPERTONES, PAUL COLMAN, and
SANCTUS REAL.<><CECE WINANS’ Throne Room has been certified “Gold” by the
RIAA with CD and cassette sales surpassing 500,000 units. The album debuted at
#1 on both the Billboard Gospel & Contemporary Music Gospel Charts earlier this
