IN THE NEWS:
The website maintained by Christian and Mainstream radio favorites LIFEHOUSE is reporting that band members are working on a new album at a recording studio on the Chesapeake Bay in Easton, Maryland. According to remaining original members Jason Wade and Rick Woolstenhulme, Come Back Home “is about half way finished” with vocals and guitars recently being laid down on the project. Also the guys report they “record all day, then take the boat out at about 6 to take a break. We cruise the boat to the local crab shack, which is apparently what Easton is famous for.” To listen to a “rough take” of the record, visit lifehousemusic.com. <><
SOUNDBYTES:
The latest VeggieTales project has topped the “Children’s Videos” chart for the third consecutive week. VeggieTales: Sumo of the Opera scanned more than 63,000 units in its first 15 days. <>< Rumors are that 60 Minutes II is preparing a story on the growing influence of Christians in Rock music. The piece, which is set to air next month, is supposed to include interviews with P.O.D. and THIRD DAY. <>< RELIENT K will release its first foray into literature in November with The Complex Infrastructure Known As the Female Mind. This non-fiction book from Transit Books tells of the various "girl types" they’ve encountered on the road while frontman Matt Thiessen and other band members share “personal stories and biblical advice.” <><
