IN THE NEWS: DANIEL’S WINDOW is participating in the “Christian Music Makeover”, a unique promotional campaign designed to introduce the Chicago-based band to the national marketplace, while capitalizing on the “reality TV” craze. Launching January 1st, Christian music fans will have the opportunity to take a talented group and transform them from “average” to “wow” in an extreme and intensive 6-month makeover. Fans can monitor the band’s transformation via the interactive website at ChristianMusicMakeover.com and will also have the chance to win the same items and services used in the “Makeover” campaign with contests and promotions on the website. The fifth album from Daniel’s Window, Strangely Looking Forward (Cross Driven Records), iwas released last month. <><
NEWSBOYS’ fans now can read a new version of the Bible on the band’s website and soon will be able to access the New Testament on their latest album. In conjunction with Zondervan Publishing, the New Testament of Today's New International Version (TNIV) can be downloaded as an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file download from the Newsboys site. Also the TNIV’s New Testament will be available next month on the band’s latest interactive CD, devotion. The TNIV is a new Bible translation from Zondervan that will be released in both Old and New Testaments in early February. This new “innovative format” of the Bible was translated by the same committee that translated the original New International Version and is designed to reach a younger generation of believers and specifically “spiritually-intrigued” 18 to 34-year-olds. To download the PDF version of the TNIV New Testament, go to newsboys.com. <><
