The Grafton Drum Co-op sponsors this group which announces community hand drumming circles, classes, and workshops in the Central/Eastern MA area. This is a moderated group - only announcements of drumming events, workshops, classes, etc. will be accepted.
Our free monthly circle is described below:
Each second Saturday of the month at 7pm, we come together in Fellowship Hall of the UU Meetinghouse in Grafton for the Grafton Drum Circle. We celebrate the rhythm of our lives, touching the instinctual heartbeat in each other and ourselves. We are mostly free style, but will also play traditional African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and Native American rhythms. We dance, sing, and chant and do whatever inspires us! No previous experience is necessary; everyone is welcome to come and participate in the joy of community synergy through rhythm!
Bring your djembe, ashiko, conga, rattles, or whatever else you wish and come drum, dance, sing, and have fun with us!
