Got an instrument moldering in the corner?

This group is for discussion and coordination of those interested in The Greenwood Acoustic Jam, which is held at the Greenwood Library, 81st and Greenwood, in Seattle, WA. If necessary we will move the jam around to whatever venue is available.

Jam sessions will be held ROUGHLY monthly.

This is for fun and development of musicianship in an impromptu setting. We will probably lean towards British Isles music, but will also attempt free form and other genres as we go along.

So bring your guitar, fiddle or banjo, but we are ESPECIALLY interested in instruments that are less common. Zithers, congas, concertinas, trombones, tubas, sitars, melodicas, xylophones-- the odder the better! All instruments are very welcome, but if you have an instrument even SLIGHTLY off the beaten track, we encourage you to bring it TOO to play with us!

(At this point "acoustic" will be taken to mean, "without electronic amplification." So, no theremins. You can bring your Telecaster, but leave the amp at home.)

Percussion and drums are very welcome, but you may have to throttle it back a little, our venue is a LIBRARY.
