Hi John,
In Djangomania please note the beginning is taken on the Samois sur Seine
island Isle de Berceault where the annual Django festival takes place the
last week of June of each year. You see Spanish musician Biel Ballester
(www.bielballestertrio.com )walking by. A bit further you see an interview
by Christoph Steinermayr from Austria (c.steinermayr@...) playing a very
strange guitar by German Branzo Guitars, you can contact him, the luthier
through schreinereibranz@... (no I haven't found a website to him).
He has opened up the top of the guitar and forgot about any other sound
hole. This way he claims the musician can hear himself better over the amps
or store sheet music inside the guitar. Still further on you see our
Hawaiian friends Tom Conway and Willy Wainwright on the beach.
(www.tomconway.net ). Then up to the states with Shelly D. Park and friends
taping their fingers in an attempt to mimic Django followed by some insights
in the Japanese world of GJ rounded up with a bit of Django's birthplace
Liberchies. Where there is a yearly festival in the making
http://www.django-liberchies.be/ .
Hope to be of some help here.
Have fun watching it!
grtz,
:-) Menno
