I don't know about Bierili but I use a $25 Radio Shack electret mic #33-3013 (don't hold that against me! :-) I clip mine to a $0.25 clear mini-suction cup that crafts stores sell to hang things on windows, and attach it to the lower upper bout out of my way of strumming. Don't knock it until you try one, they sound great. Our violinist uses one too.

Hello to the GypsyGuitarDownload1 Group (or should I say band)! My name is Joe; I'm new to this group. I'm from New Jersey (please don't hold that against me). I have (among others) a Maccaferri Oval hole-
style instrument (made by Daniel Slaman of the Netherlands) which I just love, but it's hard to use it on gigs (unless it's a small, quiet venue - which is unusual - New Jersey is a pretty LOUD state). I just
watched the Bireli Lagrene DVD, in which almost everyone has this (what looks like a) small condenser mic haning into the sound hole of their guitar, and then taped to the top. Does anyone know what this is
called, and (better yet) where they're available? Thanks! Chordally -
