There are several reasons, but the latest reminder occurred last
night, when, after our local chapter board meeting concluded, the
quartet I'm in ("Coeur d'Nation", if you're wondering) sang for the
hostess at the restaurant where we met. After the song, she gave each
of us a hug.

Now, I have played music in many venues over the last 40+ years, but I
have NEVER been hugged by my audience until I started singing in a
barbershop quartet!
