I did indeed! I missed Mardi Gras by, what, 2 weeks? But I went
for my 25th Birthday and had a BLAST aside from the cold. I stayed
at the Queen and Crescent Hotel on Camp St. 2 blocks from the French
Quarter and I would completely recommend it to anyone! The
bartender is great! If you decide to get your palm read -- go to the
guy that saw the Dixie Chicks (I dont remember his name off hand)
but he was really good. I went to a few others but they pretty much
sucked. :) And of course, go anywhere you feel necessary to soak up
all that jazz! (I liked the Dixieland Jazz at the Maison Bourbon --
the clarinetist ROCKED! I wasn't in N.O. for a Friday night but
Leroy Jones plays at Preservation Hall on Fridays.)
