Hey folks,
I saw that concert on PBS this past weekend, by accident!
All I can say is that it was beuatiful watching the Marsalises
together jamming, and it was a delight seeing Harry play with them.
Hope the program reairs sometime soon.
Later,

how is everyone?
just thought i'd share some of the latest info i found on harry's
web site:

2.4.03
All In The Family
On August 4, 2001 Harry took part in a very special concert that
paid tribute to one of his childhood teachers...Ellis Marsalis.
This event brought to the stage, for the very first time, all four
of Ellis' musical sons...Branford, Wynton, Delfeayo and Jason. The
concert was recorded and, The Marsalis Family: A Jazz Celebration,
will be in record stores beginning February 4, 2003. For those of us
not fortunate enough to have been at the show, this recording will
be a treasure in all jazz lovers' collections.

i'm heading to new orleans for jazz fest in may, oh how i wish harry
would be there!!
take care!

I finally saw another ep of "Will and Grace" last Thursday, the one
with Leo surprising Grace with a brunch with his parents. What a
hoot! Harry did a great job handling the comedy, as usual, and I
thought I've seen the actors who play his parents somewhere before--
maybe y'all can help me out. I think Tom Skerrit played his dad,
but I don't know who played Leo's mom, although I think I've seen
here before in the later seasons on "Designing Women".

Anyhoo, I can't wait for Thursday's ep with Grace's wedding. If you
haven't already gotten it, check out US Weekly's mag-- perhaps from
last week (my fault) with Eminem on the cover talking about his
rowdy days or something. On page five or something like that,
there's a picture of the "Will and Grace" set with Harry and Debra
Messing posing for promo pictures. There's a short story, and
pictures of Harry's family (Jill, Sara, Gergia, and Kate) on set
shown. I nearly did a double take when flipping through the
magazine. The girls have grown so much and are beautiful, just like
their mom and dad. Again, I apologize for the delay, but I didn't
look through it until tonight.

Later, folks!

Our studmuffin will be on Regis and Kelly on Monday morning. I was
in the process of turning off the tv and walking out the door and
right before I hit power, they said, "WIll & Grace star Harry Connick
Jr. will be on the show Monday". That sure made my day...

Noodler,
Your profile says you teach 4th and 5th grade music. I just started
teaching 1-5th grade music in public school this school year. I could
use some tips if you have any!!! The 5th graders are challenging. Are

Hey everyone! I am an elementary music teacher, and I was thinking
it'd be cool for my 5th graders to sing It Must Have Been Old Santa
this year. Does anyone have any idea how I could get some chords for
this song or an instrumental/karaoke version of it? Any help would be
really really appreciated!
Thanks,

Hi Everyone...

I just wanted to take a quick second of your time to let you know
that I have made some changes and (much needed) updates to the club.

Probably the most significant is that membership must now be
approved - although the club is still public. I really hope this
will keep the amount of junk down in here. I've deleted several of
the offending accounts, and will be keeping my eye on things!

Cheers!

no, i'm not kidding...it's no joke...i was in a plane crash this
morning.
one of my best friends has achieved his private license, and is
still in training to continue for his commercial one. he and i used
to work together, and i went with another one of our co-workers for
what i thought would be a fun morning...and it was...until we ran
into a little trouble...

he took off and we flew for a bit, as he practiced some turning and
maneuvering procedures...then, they decided to do some engine on/off
runs...they cut the right engine, recovered, turned it on and flew
for a bit...then cut the left engine, recovered, and re-started
it...but apparently (from what i learned later) it never reached
full power, and our weight and distance from the field was working
against us.

at that point, the instructor took over the plane, and radioed our
location, he was going to do his best to make it in, but three miles
out he had to radio an emergency (at which point i peed my pants -
not really, but you get the point)...and made an emergency landing
in a field of small trees nearby...

it all happened so fast, i didn't have time to do anything but hold
on and pray (which i did plenty of)...all i remember was bounce,
bounce, crash!! we started clipping trees at 80mph and ended up with
the nose of the cessina in an embankment. my flip flops were thrown
to the front of the plane, and so were my friend's glasses...once we
realized that we were all unharmed - we evacuated from the back left
door - which was on the ground!!...and walked to the road, yours
truly half carried/half barefooted. help got to us about 10 minutes
later, an ambulance arrived for the EMTs to take our vitals, and as
they were sitting there, they were asking us all these questions and
we were like 'we're ok!' - they were kinda stunned...i guess i am
too, now looking back.

once we had given our statements and contact information we were ok
to go...i went back to my friend's house because there was no way i
was about to drive back home by myself...i calmed down there and got
myself home...we have some scratches and bruises - my seatbelt
squooshed my hip/stomach - but are ok.

i am just thankful that the pilot was able to set us down so
well...God was definitely looking our for us today...

i don't really know what else to say...except that i'm glad to be
alive...it's definitely puts life into perspective!!!

i know it doesn't have anything to do with Harry, but rememember the
people who are special to you today and always!

Dr. Connick on call for 'Will & Grace'
Aug. 01, 2002

It's official: Harry Connick Jr. will play the new love in Grace's
life on NBC's hit comedy "Will & Grace." Meanwhile, Kevin Bacon has
signed on to guest star in the series' second episode this season.
Bacon, who has been stalked by Jack (Sean Hayes) on the show, will
play himself. He hires Jack as his personal assistant and gives him
his first assignment -- find the guy who is stalking him. Three-time
Grammy winner Connick is set to appear in 12 episodes of the NBC
Studios show's upcoming fifth season, playing a Jewish doctor and the
new beau of Debra Messing's Grace (HR 7/24). He will make his debut
in the season opener Sept. 26 as the mysterious horseman who came to
Grace's rescue when she slammed into a lamppost in Central Park
during last season's cliffhanger finale.

I can't wait to see what kind of character he plays... or if he'll be
musical at all... I'm just imagining him joining Jack for "Just Jack
2002"... ROFL
