BIG HOUSE PETE Will Make You Smile On Your Worst Day with "Junk Punch".
-Twisted Humor, Rockin' Guitar and World-Class Musicianship
Feb. 2007 (Pittsburgh, PA) Twisted rockin' comedy nutjobs.....
Incredible guitar.... nasty lyrics... then some groovin blues.... Big
House Pete's Twisted Rock music is a cross between "Korn" and "ZZ Top"
and their sick humor is a blend of "Mind of Mencia" and "The Blue
Collar Tour". Big House Pete is the result of years of hard life and
the twisted way of letting people know what can happen to you.... if
you let it...! Of course Big House Pete tells you how to avoid it
too.... sort of Pyscho Removal Therapy....
Already, radio and concert audiences have overwhelmingly responded to
the new Big House Pete CD, "Junk Punch". The Pittsburgh-based trio
delivers 11 power-packed songs include the lead-off rocker "Big House"
and the hilarious bar scene stealer "Butternuts". Big House Pete also
tackle The Fixx classic "One Thing Leads To Another" with incredible
aplomb. You can order the CD and find out all info on Big House Pete's
extensive winter/spring USA tour at www.bighousepete.com,
www.cdbaby.com/bhp2 and www.myspace.com/bighousepete.
Upcoming shows include: Feb. 17th at Blue Haven in Springdale, PA,
Feb. 23rd at Runts Roadhouse in Sarver, PA, and March 1st at the
Sidebar Tavern in Baltimore, MD. Additional stops will include
Washington DC, Raleigh NC, Miami FL, Jacksonville FL, Orlando FL,
Atlanta GA and many more cities.
Big House Pete, a Pittsburgh PA trio, is comprised of three musicians
who are influenced by many styles of music. The one common denominator
among them is their ability to laugh and you can see this through the
humor in their songs. Paul Peterson is an amazing guitarist and
songwriter. Mark Hensel keeps the bottom going with his great bass
playing and backing vocals. The man who keeps the rhythm on drums is
the talented George Kazalas. Each member has vast experience in studio
recording and live concerts and when they formed Big House Pete, a
special chemistry immediately happened. They have played venues from
New York City's CBGBs and Trash Bar to Nashville's Blue Bird Café,
and Los Angeles spots.
Big House Pete recently won the American Idol Underground Contest with
their song "Butternuts". The explicit musical comedy contest was
sponsored by Groovebox.
Look at what music critics are saying about Big House Pete:
The Rocket (www.theonlinerocket.com): "The group Big House Pete had an
obvious stage presence that was loud, energetic and comically
inviting. The style of music was sort of a Korn meets ZZ Top mixture."
Emergenza.Net: "Big House Pete sucked in the crowd with their tongue
in cheek lyrics accompanied by sick guitar and drum solos."
