Noontime Concerts Jazz in The Park

Rochester's Noontime Concert Series offers downtown workers a fun-filled, toe-tapping respite from the work day and adds to the vibe that makes our Center City such a special place. For more information call 311 (outside city limits 585-428-5990). The concerts take place on Wednesdays from July 15 to Aug. 12 in Aqueduct Park, near the southwestern corner of the Main Street Bridge and the Genesee River. Wednesday July 29th will feature Jimmie Highsmith and Funkbox. Hope too see you all there.

Our annual African-American Festival takes place this year on August 1, 2009 at Genesee Valley Park from 11AM to 9PM. Family and friends enjoyed great entertainment, tasty food, and danced all afternoon and into the evening while the young (and young at heart) delighted themselves with various arts and crafts, an inflatable play center . . . and pony rides! There will be choirs, singers, poets, and bands including Jimmie Highsmith to entertain you and your families
