On Friday October 28th, 2005 Rochester's hottest Funk-JamBand
Marcus! takes the stage at The Montage Grille. The group features
the work of renown funk-guitarist Marcus Robinson (co-founder of
Thornwood). Backing up Robinson is an all-star list of local music
veterans; Jake Glasgow (Sax),Brad Johnson (Bass), Matt Rammerman
(Drums), and Maureen Oser (Keys). Joining the band for this
performance will be trumpeter Herb Smith (co-founder of Thornwood)
and Therese Lott on vocals. Marcus! Is sure to deliver a solid,
tight, funky performance that make it impossible not to get up and
move your feet. This group, while still new on the jam-band scene,
has got quite the buzz around town...and you'll know why once you
see this powerhouse of funk, soul, and groove! Marcus! Is in the
process of recording their first album due out in late November on
the UrbanGrooves
Record Label.
