... to john hisself. bec i was at his show with EXENE last night (no, she
wasn't my date, she
accompanied john. come on!) at williamsburg, bklyn. i spoke with him at merch
table, told
him:

"writer JACK RABID of BIG TAKEOVER mag really really loved yr "dim
stars..." so i wanted to
get (as john was to have a show at nyc's fez, now closed). couldn't find,
except at kim's of
st.marks place. but at $18.98. so i flinched, then bought. then thought it
was terrific. so, it
was cheap at half the price."

and the show was a nice americana kinda thing, but i'll let others write more
about it.
