This is a group for friends and fans of JULIA FISCHER, a german violinist born in 1983 in Muenchen, who studied a.o. with famous Ana Chumachenco. She has been playing with maestros like Lorin Maazel, Christoph Eschenbach, Sir Neville Marriner, Yakov Kreizberg along with prestigious orchestras worldwide. She has published a number of acclaimed and awarded SA-CDs for PentaTone (Russian violin concertos, the Solo Sonatas and Partitas by Bach, the Mendelssohn Trios, the Mozart concertos, the Brahms Vc. and Double Concerto) and one DVD (Vivaldi, The Four Seasons) with the Academy St. Martin in the Fields.
She has also performed and recorded chamber music with, among others, cellist Daniel Mueller-Schott and pianists Milana Chernyavska, Jonathan Gilad, Martin Helmchen and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and regularly appears at renowned Music Festivals.
Since October 2006 Julia Fischer teaches at the Frankfurt Music Academy.
In 2008 she signed a recording contract with Decca, her debut CD featuring all Violin Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach.
She plays a violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, made in 1750.
