Re: Favourite editor/librarian

Hi all!

I am new here, this is my first post :-)

After long wait I finally decided to buy Sound Quest XL, I got it a couple of
days ago.
At the moment I am not using the VST features.
The major reason for my purchase was the need for an editor for my K5000R (OS
4.03). I tried the Demo version before and it worked for me so I decided to buy
the app.
I am using it on my PC running Windows XP Pro SP3. My K5000R is attached to an
old Midiman Midisport 4x4.
I must say that everything is working fine here for now.
The only problem I have is that when I request transmission of a whole bank from
the K5000R Midi Quest crashes. No exception. The only way is to transfer 16
presets per time. Maybe there is a workaround for this, I still have to study
the app.

Before making my purchase I tried SoundDiver with no success. It was quitting
suddenly with no reason. I still have a Logic XSKey and it seems it works much
better on my old PowerMac G5.

I tried the JAVA-based editor too but MIDI communication is so slow that it
makes it unusable for me.

That's all for now, if there should be anything you would like me to try with
Midi Quest just let me know.

PS: I think it's impossible to import SysEx files inside Midi Quest, a real
pity!
