What's up Jay!!!!!! We are looking forward to getting back out to
the cities. It feels more like home with Heather here. Things are
going exceptionally well. Getting together before the Narrows sounds
great, just be in touch. As far as Toto, my percussionist used to be
a member of that band...with that said, they were/are SCARY good.
Unbelievable. They WILL mess up most bands that dare step to them. I
dig 'em! KV

Hey everyone, I'm back from the dead. I've been sooooo busy lately.
We are gonna be out on the road for about a month starting in a couple
weeks, but I have been in meetings and negotiations for some big things
which I will let you know about in the near future. There's a lot I'm
looking forward to. It's gonna be nice sharing the stage with Shannon
Curfman again. There's also some shows in the works that are a LONG
TIME COMING...hint hint. So much going on, so little time. I
apologize for laying low, but really, it's all happening. I hope
everyone is well. Still lovin' y'all! KV

Come to think of it, I heard Bjorn (Ken's drummer) singing Rosanna
for soundcheck. Do you guys know any Toto?

I'm just checking to make sure that everyone has ordered their copy of
the new Shannon Curfman CD Take It Like A Man. She's currently
selling it on E-Bay. :o)

I'd really hate to have to hunt you down if you haven't already
ordered one or have no intention of doing so after you read this
message. It just wouldn't be pretty. Trust me. :o)

Have a nice day or something.

He was the hit of the BluesFest.

Tab Benoit was here a couple years ago.
I helped work the back line, nice guy.

Tab had a strange custom built pickup,
He said they had it special made,
3 rows of seats,
so everyone could ride in one truck, and pull a trailer.

Can't wait to see who is here next year.
It would be great to see Shan.
I talked to the people who do the booking, and they would like to heave her too.
She has a lot of fans in Phoienix,
I saw that she is booked in Phoenix soon, I hope I'm in town, so I can catch
her.
Haven't seen her live, since back in Moorhead, before she cut the FIRST CD.
And my wife has never gotten to see her live.

Me too, but it should happen in August. Unless things keep going the
way they have been.>

Last cool show: Bryan Lee

Next cool show: Probably Tab Benoit

What Are You Listening To?

Currently, streaming blues on the net (my fave stream is on tonight)

Otherwise:

Ian Moore "Bootleg 96"

Dan Treanor & African Wind "Mercy"

Big Bill Broonzy "Good Time Tonight"

And stuff.

My god this is truly pathetic. Is there anyone out there? Yeah I
didn't think so. I pretty much hate posting in here anymore because
it's like in my real life because no one pays attention to me or I'm
talking to myself. What fun is that?

What's everyone listening to these days? Been to any good concerts?
Have any good concerts coming up?

I've seen Buddy Guy who walked up and handed me his guitar pick at the
end of the show, some Ken guy... I dunno maybe some of you have heard
of him and Anthony Gomes who was kinda interesting and I still haven't
decided if I like him. I saw the WORST dancer ever at the Gomes show
complete with a horrible homemade groupie t-shirt. Oh yes and I was
mean enough to get a picture. muhahahaha Even though I had a free
ticket I skipped out on all the acts at our music fest here. The board
of directors suck at picking music. Although I did meet half of Big
& Rich's band when they were in my store trying on the crazy Elton
John/club manager from Purple Rain looking white sunglasses. haha
We have Chris Thomas King coming to do an In Store on Friday. I just
hope people will show up.

I don't know why I bother making this post. It will probably sit here
unanswered for days maybe weeks....

Yeah I'm glad you got to see me. :-P HA!

Oh yeah I got the new Indigenous album this morning... I'm really
liking it a lot a lot... Mato's (who's flippin H-O-T-T in the
pictures in the book) voice isn't driving me nuts like what usually
happens when I try to listen to an Indigenous album all the way
through. So that's a very good thang.

Well, the tour continues and this time out I am writing from the
ever so popular Poorman Palace where we tend to reside when we are
in Minnesota. The shows have gone very well. We played a cool
joint in Cedar Rapids, IA where we were met up with our dear friend

kid (We'll call him McStoner) who disappeared on us as the night
progressed. Upon leaving a stormy Iowa, we show up at the Bayside

awesome, the legendary Boat People were in attendance and even a
former girlfriend of mine made an appearance. I was truly proud of
the band for kicking so much ass. We haven't been together long,
but each night we improve on each song. The lovely Shannon Curfman
also graced us with her presence and sang a few tunes with us. That
was quite the good time. She will be accompanying us to Bunkers
tonight and the MMC tomorrow to see the Legendary Combo and JayBee
and the Routine, two bands made up of dear friends of ours. I can't
wait. I truly miss it out here and am constantly reminded of some

Hey all...it's been awhile I know. Here's the latest. The guys and
I just got back from an interesting run in Colorado. It was great to
see Sassie again, I must say. I will also say you missed out on the
second night at Southside Johnny's...it was like the old days...it
takes skin to win...anyone remember that? Ahhhhh the good ol' 3520
days. We also played the Mad Blues Fest in Madrid which was dusty,
hot and interesting. We are gearing up for another run out in the
Midwest. I can't wait til Hayward and spending some time on Lake
Minnetonka with the infamous Boat People. Their legend lives and
grows in the high desert. As we work our way up to my home away from
home, I've been spending some time with Chris Kataan, Brian Posehn
and a lovely young lady named Navi. They are filming a movie in
Santa Fe and have been coming around to both electric and acoustic
shows. The first night we hung out will forever go down as one of
the craziest nights I've had as a musician. Doing standup
for "pros", giving Chris a bunch of crap about doing a Corky Romano
sequel and drinking with a guy (Brian) who rarely drinks. Then
there's Navi...ahhhh....Navi....Anyhow, what else? B and I have been
working a bit doing the acoustic stuff with Michael Kott and VALDEZ
has been playing steadily. I must tell you I am quite surprised at
how fast things are coming together. Eric Owens is a monster! He
and B are really complimenting each other and the songs incredibly
well. Our 3 part harmonies are no joke. I think everyone will be
quite surprised by our new sound. I would love to get more people
active in here, so hopefully this newest attempt will prompt
something. Oh, btw, if you didn't notice, there is a new group
photo. It is one of our official "band shots". Let me know what
y'all think! I hope all is well! Take care! KV

I just got a promo copy of the new Bonamassa disc. It's really
good... better than some of the other ones. I gotta give it up to
sales reps who love me and know what kind of music I like and hook me
up. :o)

Now I just need my new Indigenous album and hope that Mato's voice
doesnt start to drive me nuts about 3 songs into it. :-P

My vote has been cast, & I voted for...MYSELF! Ha, J/K! Best of Luck
to you...now I gotta ask anyone voting to put Osaka in wherever you
can...I think there's 3 or 4 categories.

1.Best Asian Restaurant
2.Best mixed drinks - Mike pours heavy, but thats the way I like 'em!
3.Best Cerrillos Road Business,
4.Something else I can't remember.

Gotta support the hunny bunny you know :)
