...follow these instructions to avoid
getting extra spam. This was
forwarded to me from a list, but it
seems accurate -- when I checked
preferences for myself, all "enable
spam" choices were selected.

Each Yahoo-list subscriber must do
this for his/her own account. You must
determine for yourself whether you're
subscribed to Yahoo lists. Contact
Yahoo if you have questions.

Yahoo has apparently made a sneaky
change to everybody's "Marketing
Preferences," changing all their
"No's" to "Yes," the result of which
will be a load of spam. To change it
back:

Go to Yahoo Groups
(http://groups.yahoo.com) and sign in. Go to My Groups
and click on Account Info, verify your
password if it asks you to, and
your Yahoo ID card comes up. Click on
'Edit your Marketing Preferences'
and change all those Yes's back to
No's. Click Save Changes.
