The Krewe of Swamp Rats is a group of fun loving individuals who love live music and strive to participate in and host live music festivities. In particular, this group is oriented towards, but not limited to, The Radiators, the amazing band out of New Orleans who in the past 31 years continue to deliver live performances of their original blend of rock 'n roll, blues, and swampy funk, otherwise known as Fishhead Music. We are lovers of all music from the Louisiana swamps and many of us will make the annual pilgrimage to The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Similarly, this krewe is based in, but is not limited to, New England. Initially we plan on having private parties in New England and in the big picture you might see us throwing bashes in New Orleans during Jazzfest. We have members from all over the country that want to keep in touch with the swampy happenings. Therefore, we are a krewe that knows no limitations or boundaries, in more ways than one.
Free trading and sharing of music is encouraged and don't forget to pass along any information on killer shows in your area. The name "Krewe of Swamp Rats" derives in part from the New Orleans concept of a Krewe, our love of the music from the swamps of Louisiana, the Radiators song called "Swamp Rat", and the swamp dwelling, plant munching Nutria, otherwise known as a Swamp Rat.
