finished product, but Very Sadly, it's manufacture has been delayed due
to a mistake the manufacturer made. But...it's almost here (they have
told me 10 more days), and it's gorgeous, and I can't wait for you all
to see it. It won't be officially released until October, but you can
PRE-order it now, either by buying the Ravendemos, or by pre-ordering

Ravengirl's Official Release Concert is turning into a festival! The
whole scoop will be publicized as we confirm all the opening acts. But
for now, please mark your calendars for October 22nd. And set aside
some money so you can purchase advance tickets AND the new album AND
enjoy the exquisite food and drink available at the Hi Hat Jazz Club.
You are absolutely not going to want to miss this concert. And you are
absolutely not going to want to leave the concert without your very own
copy of the stellar album the concert will be so immaculately
representing. 
  I will have an 8-piece band on this special night. I will of course
be performing on lead vocals, grand piano, and keyboard. Nisha
Purushotham will be performing on Afro-Cuban and West African
percussion. Kurt Meyer will be performing on 5-string-fretless and
upright bass. The three of us went into the studio together in January
to record Ravengirl. Kevin Silvia will be performing on electric guitar
even though he played his acoustic on the album, because we love his
new electric so much. The other album players aren't available for this
show date, so instead, I have handpicked other favorite players for
this special night. NYC's Rich Kulsar, the fantastic drummer on my
previous releases, Brave Enough, the bound single, and The Mule, will
be joining us on drums. Miya Perry will be playing lovely cello. And
Kristie Speck and Angela Romans will be doing their excellent rendition
of me doing my backing vocals on the Ravengirl album. 
 
And we're not JUST going to play Ravengirl tunes. We are going to do a
few favorites from the previous three albums. We are especially
focusing on Littlebird's favorites, because Ravengirl is especially for
her. But also, YOU can request your favorite song for this special
night! Depending on the song, this is a rare chance to hear songs with
the full 8-piece band! Here's the deal. If you buy your tickets in
advance and if you pre-order Ravengirl, you can request one song from
any of my releases or any song by another songwriter that you have
heard me perform live, that you would like me to play that night. I
will play up to 30 songs that night, so if I get too many requests, I
might not get to play yours, but don't let that dissuade you! I will be
posting the set list on my website, and I would like to include the
names of people who have requested songs. So if you would like to
request a song, please send an email to songrequest@..., and
include your ticket number, the date you pre-ordered Ravengirl, your
first and last name, and your permission (or lack thereof) for me to
include your name in the list. 
 
You so don't want to miss this show. 
 
Tell everyone you know. Anyone who misses it will be devastated, so
they will thank you profusely. If you are traveling from lands afar,
let us know, and we can either give you a list of local hotels, or try
to hook you up with a place to stay. We're good like that. 
 
Tickets go on sale later this week and are available through Art Tix
online at www.ArtTixRI.com, via phone at 401-621-6123, or in person
Mon-Fri, noon - 6pm at their box office: 10 Dorrance St in Providence.
The cost is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. I will email you all a
direct ticket link the day tickets go on sale, so keep an eye on your
inbox. :) 
 
The show will start at 6pm and go til 11pm at the Hi Hat Jazz Club (3
Davol Square Providence). Come and relax and select your most favorite
food from their most excellent menu. Have a drink. Listen to the
fabulous opening musicians (Mary Ann Rossoni, Kevin Silvia, Spogga,
Kellianna, Jen Minuto are among them...a few more are still to be
confirmed). And be prepared to laugh and cry and dance and fall in love
with the new music from my heart to yours.
