Just to be clear,
On the MIDI Mode/Receive page, you can have MIDI Mode set to Multi.
That is a good basic setting for most tasks.
On the MIDI Mode/Transmit page, Control can be set to BOTH.

When you are in Song Mode, select the Song and press edit to
enter the Song editor. On the COMMON page (i.e., the first page
you see), there are settings on the bottom for TrackDest (track
destination).
You can set each track independently to L (Local), M (MIDI OUT only),
and X (off?).
I think the dash means both (which is the default).

The SONG EDIT/COMMON/TrackDest should get you what you want.
If you want to have the track play two different channels,
copy the track and have one play locally, and the other play
on M (MIDI out) on a different channel.
Let us know if this solves it.
