Before we take attendance today--hey, you in the back, mr
too-cool-for-school, zip it!--anyway, as i was saying, before we take
roll i have to tell you about a mandatory assembly next wednesday at
mercury lounge on houston street. you are all required to attend,
wearing party clothes. you must be on time and no leaving early. if
you can't attend you must bring a note from your parents ahead of
time.

The reason for the assembly is a band called LEVY. They have
finished their CD and are going to be playing a number of songs from
said CD. And possibly more. Tell your parents to give you some
extra cash because the CD will be for sale at the show. It's a
fundraiser for the basketball team. The basketball team has the
chance to go all the way this year, you know. No snickering over
there miss gutter-mind. You know what I meant by "all the way."
