Voices Only is happy to announce that our tenor Rick Spencer has become the new
tenor for Flipside (2006 International 5th Place Bronze Medallist). Way to go
Rick! Flipside's post to the Harmonet follows.

Does this mean Voices Only is retiring? NO WAY! We're too young for that! I
mean, have you seen us? :-)

While the rest of Voices Only wishes Rick a fantastic journey to the top, we
are in the process of filling his big shoes, and should have a replacement
tenor announced by the end of 2006.

Thank you all for your cheers and support.
Your 2006 LOL District Champs,

Voices Only

****************************************************************************

After 8 years, 7 internationals, and a bronze medal in Indianapolis this
past July, Paul Krenz, our tenor, has decided retire from competitive
barbershop. Paul has meant a lot to Flipside. His absolute commitment to a
perfectly tuned, ringing chord helped make the "Flipside Sound". This was
a hard decision for Paul, but he felt the timing was best for himself and
his family. Although he lives only a few miles from the rest of us, we will
miss seeing him weekly. His hard work and wry sense of humor made
rehearsals fly by. Even though we won't be sharing a stage with Paul
anymore, he will always be part of the Flipside Family.

The remaining members of Flipside decided it wasn't time to retire, so we
searched for a new tenor. Over the last 3 months many talented people have
auditioned. Now that the dust has settled, we are excited and privileged to
announce Rick Spencer has agreed to join the Flipside family. Rick brings
many talents and skills to the team. Rick is a two-time district champion
quartet singer as well as an international quartet competitor. Rick is the
Director of Music and Education for the Barbershop Harmony Society and
resides in Kenosha, WI with his wife Melissa and daughter Caitlyn.

The "new" Flipside will be making its debut and the Society's Mid-Winter
Convention in Albuquerque, NM January 26-27, 2007. We look forward to
meeting and greeting all of you at shows and functions in our new
configuration. Please join us in welcoming Rick and his family to Flipside.

Sincerely,
Flipside
