Just two days before the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, President Bush will take his oath of office.
As he prepares to begin his second term, Bush and his allies are using their trumped up "mandate" to justify their dangerous and divisive anti-choice agenda. But if winning a slim majority of votes is enough to convince the President of his "mandate," then we would like to remind President Bush of just one thing: A majority of Americans supports a woman's right to choose.*
Being pro-choice means believing abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. We're pro-choice, and we support access to birth control, responsible sex education, and a fair-minded judiciary.
Take the "We Are Pro-Choice America" pledge
Stand up proudly for the freedom to make your own personal decisions and respect the decisions of others. Tell President Bush that you will fight to defend Roe v. Wade.
"For the duration of this presidency and beyond, I pledge to do everything in my power as a concerned citizen to fight and preserve the principles of privacy and choice as guaranteed by Roe v. Wade."
Put your pledge to work
Once you've taken the pledge, use these effective ways to spread the word and make a difference to keep the We Are Pro-Choice America campaign going strong:
