3. REVIEWS
================================
Since it's release last September, we've seen a number of reviews in
print and on-line for Landmarq's latest (live) album, 'Aftershock',
as well as the re-issued earlier albums -- all now on the Cyclops
label, in case you didn't know! ;)
These have been very positive, including Nick Shilton's review in the
latest issue of the UK magazine 'Classic Rock' (Issue #50, Feb 2003).
Nick does pick up on one point, which we fully agree with, right at
the beginning by stating that: "...It's not for want of decent
material that Landmarq have never really escaped prog's minor
leagues; a more likely reason is a shortage of live dates..."
He then goes on to mention the "...strength of the bands four-studio-
album catalogue..." and award a respectable 3/5 stars.
We'd like to say we are very aware of this and would like nothing
more than to be 'out there' touring the world and playing to as many
people as possible. We intend to improve on this situation over the
coming months and beyond.
If you'd like to give us your own comments on this and any reviews
you may have seen, whether you agree or disagree with them, we'd love
to hear from you.
Also -- if you've seen any reviews, etc., on Landmarq you think we
may not have seen, perhaps in a local paper or magazine, please do
drop us a line and let us know. (We won't mind if we happen to have
already seen them).

4. JEANETTE MURPHY
================================
Here's a shameless plug for a good friend of Landmarq. Those of you
who caught the bands show at The Hermit Club (Brentwood, England)
back in March 1999 will remember Jeanette Murphy, who opened for the
band with an all-too-brief acoustic set of her own material.
Jeanette has now released her self-produced second album, 'Sugar and
Spice', which has already begun to attract positive attention,
gleaning a 'Top Demo' placing in the February 2003 edition of 'Sound
on Sound' magazine.
Among the musicians on the album is Landmarq bassist, Steve Gee, who
also backed Jeanette at the albums launch last year at The 12-Bar
Club in London's west end.

5. "I'D LIKE TO HEAR..."
================================
Although we are certainly busy writing much new material for the next
album and future live sets, in the last newsletter (#47) we asked
which song you'd like to see/hear Landmarq play from their past
catalogue. One response we had was a very nice letter and a rather
novel 'CD Christmas card' from Didier Gregoire and family from near
Lyon, France. Didier's choice was for "More Flames For The Dancer".
Well, Didier, you never know, "More Flames..." could well end up in
the set. If you have your own ideas, just email us; we'd be
interested to know. And who knows....

6. WEBSITE UPDATES
================================
Gonzalo's pages have been updated. Landmarq's new keyboard player has
managed to drag himself away from his piano and has given us
his 'discography' and also his 'favourites'. There are some
interesting entries so check out the appropriate pages when you can.
We'll have some photos too and, in keeping with the 'Early Pics'
page, Gonzalo has promised to find some pictures from his own early
days.
To add to individual members information (i.e., Discography,
Favourites, Photos), we shall be including a brief biography for each
member. So far, you can read 'individual histories' for Dave, Gonzalo
and Steve. Tracy and Uwe should follow soon.
Cheers for now,
