well heres the deal about discussions on myspace...how many Groups are
you signed on that have actual discussions like on yahoo or
Tribe.net???? Maybe thats why it doesnt show on searches.(Im part of
about 7 groups on myspace and not a single one of them have had any
ongoing discussions in over a year)

as for the ads on pages...GMail(which is run by google) and Tribe.net
have word specific ads(they are also regional too)....so yeah they will
correspond to certain words. We even on the Jellyheards tribe started
to talk about different stuff just sto see the ads change

My only point was....just because your words from Myspace dont show up
on a Google search doesnt make it any safer for you in the long run.

Thanks for the post.  I'm not trying to dog tribe dot net site in any
way.  I have an account there too but am just trying to give the reason
why I'm not finding it the best avenue OVER "myspace"
and am just asking PJef why HE is creeped out over myspace and telling
him that he should be just as creeped out, if not more, over tribe dot
net.

I'm just saying that I'm creeped out over tribe.net because you can
google search a band and a place........ and you can SEE the
conversation threads that are posted.

It's the same here on yahoo groups.  But I haven't found this to be
true, on myspace (*yet) when I google search. 
Try it for yourself.  Just go to google,  pick a band and a
place....especially if you google the phish with it - - -  try the
Hightailers and Jellyphish and see what comes up.  Try Zilla and the
Jellyphish. 

It's just creepy to me!  B bro stuff?  I dunno.  I guess it's no big
deal and I shouldn't be so paranoid.  I mean it's not like we say
anything that is "wrong or anything?".... but it's just creepy to me
because of the google search function.   (even my gmail creeps me out
because it puts ads on the side of my mailbox page that directly
correspond with the mail!) 

I LOVE YOU all and am just opening my big mouth because I wish for you
to be safe.

Myspace is cool, I have a page on there....I can see the good things
that bands can do on there, so I help with promotions and other stupid
stuff on there. Plus I read a ton of blogs by comedians and musicians.

Tribe.net is more a community, where real converssations can take
place.I actually spend way more time on Tribe.net than I do anywhere
else.
