Recaps from Fire Eater Wizard...

On The Metallic Onslaught: Important statement concerning this show! Rick...
Was There! A second important announcement... Joe And Lance were also there!
As highly unusual as that is, it's nonetheless true, and I hope it was
documented on tape for proof as I'm sure no one would believe it otherwise.
Another extremely rare and hard to believe occurrence which was also
true...Shoebox was not there! Jeffie was late, but eventually did show up to
the great disappointment of everyone else. They had gotten their hopes up
when it looked like he might not be there. Jeffie had brand new intro music,
at least, for this night (the beginning of that old song by Blue Sweed,
"Hooked On A Feeling", the one with all the "ooka shoka ooka shokas). Jeffie
said he was late because he had attended the band Crisis's concert and had
been rockin' out there. I'm sure the band was thrilled by that. Soon after
his arrival Jeffie said he was a cop and that he was going to frisk Lance.
He told Lance to "Spread 'em" and tried to pat him down. This, of course
lead to a brawl between Lance And Jeffie..Later, after Rick had gone, (I did
mention that he was there didn't I??) Jeffie for some reason became a Rick
impostor, Talking like him and using some of the words and phrases that he
uses, and saying the names of Rick's favorite bands. They asked him what the
hell was wrong with him, and he kept insisting that he was Rick..Then
suddenly he became Jeffie again and said he was back..Jeffie then proceeded
to try to hug and cuddle with Joe, and to try and sit on his lap, and to get
his cell phone again (so he could put it in his pants again, no doubt)..
This, of course, lead to a brawl between Joe and Jeffie..On this night, as
on the week before, shoes once again were used as weapons on Jeffie..The
show ended with Lance asking Joe if Jeffie was passed out on the floor
again, and Joe saying that, yes, he was...And that was the show..Oh, and did
I mention that Rick, Joe, and Lance were indeed there?

On The Last Exit: The ever faithful co-host David was, once again,
absent..Just Joe was there along with Ian (The Yeti), and a couple new
people who don't really have names yet.. :) A terrible fate, err, I mean, an
adventure was decided upon for Just Joe..They covered him completely, and I
do mean head to toe, with stickers and then sent him along with Ian out for
a walk (minus the giant pants this time), telling him to report on his
experiences when he returned...Now, actually, Just Joe came back very
happy...It seems apparently being covered with stickers is an attraction for
girls (take note guys!) as girls kept posing with Just Joe and hugging him
(although the guys called him gay, but that was probably because they were
upset that all the girls were paying so much attention to him). As all this
attention from girls (well, positive attention that is, unlike the ones who
are hitting him with their shoes) is very unusual for Just Joe, he said that
this had actually been one of the greatest nights of his life...However, his
happiness quickly faded when he was informed that the stickers now needed to
be removed and that their were those present who would be more willing to
kindly assist him with that, as slowly and drawn out as possible (to
maximize, err, I mean minimize the pain as much as possible of course). :p
After the torments that Just Joe has put Ian through in the past, Ian took
great pleasure in helping to de-sticker Just Joe..The screams of agony Just
Joe let out were truly something to behold and went on for quite some
time..But they were not through with him yet..After the pain of having the
stickers removed was over, Azkath beat down Just Joe for awhile and gave him
some more chair shots as well. So, it was quite a night especially for Just
Joe..Quite possibly simultaneously one of the best and worst nights of his
life. :) And so that was LE for last week...This coming week, both the bands
The Pushrods and River Chicken (who will be doing a concert earlier that
night) should be stopping by the show. They are both cool bands, I'm sure it
will be a fun show as always...

*********************************************************************

Ok, so this is what is up for this weekend. Friday, Jeffie has something
planned, as usual. What that means is anyone's guess. However... Yes...
He says he will be there... Not Jeffie... Jeffie is almost always there...
The big man himself will be there this week.... Yup. Rick. Oh, and
Shoebox says he may stop by...

For The Last Exit, yes The Pushrods (www.pushrodsrock.com) will be up. Saw
them last night live, they were good as always, and I now have their new 3
song CD which we will be hearing, as well as having them perform live in
studio most likely. And then, also up, will be River Chicken
(www.RiverChicken.com). They will be playing earlier at The Haunt with Idol
Hands, Funky Circus Fleas, and maybe Nonetheless. We had Nonetheless up a
few weeks ago, and it seems that they have parted ways with their vocalist
since then, so I don't know if they have a replacement for the show Saturday
or not. Regardless, we will be at the show, and then RC will be up
afterwards. They will also be performing and are said to be bringing Bongos
and Banjos. :) This is gonna be neat. And who knows what else may happen.
I do have some Cradle of Filth CD's to give away, so if you want a copy of
the new CoF, well then you should be listening and calling for it, now
shouldn't you?

Also, I am currently uploading to the website the latest Best of CD from the
show. 'Latest' is a funny word in this case as the shows in question are
from March and April 2003. I am a bit behind. Anyways, in the Downloads
and Stuff to Buy section you will be able to find that whole CD in MP3
format. So if you want it, go download it, I will keep it up as long as I
don't need the space, so probably until I upload the next couple, when they
are done. Too bad I can't upload the DVD's. Oh well. You can watch the
trailer for the DVD and contact me if you want one in the same section.

And finally, we will not likely be airing The Last Exit new next week. We
will most likely be at the Monster Magnet show in Rochester. You will be
hearing a show from May 12, 2002, which was our last show before the world
was to end on May 15, 2002. It was Shoebox's first visit, and you can hear
some voices from the past, aka Vern and Zoltan and Timmy. Ah, good times.
It was one of the craziest shows ever. And unless something happens, that is
what you will hear on the 25th. So, enjoy, we don't repeat stuff often...

W.A.S.P. Unveils Climactic Conclusion of THE NEON GOD Saga
Part 2 due on Sanctuary/Metal-Is Records September 28th

W.A.S.P. frontman Blackie Lawless is quite possibly the busiest man in hard
rock currently. Having just completed a nationwide and European tour in
support of the first act of the band’s 2004 2-part conceptual opus The Neon
God, W.A.S.P. is planning yet another run around the world to support the
forthcoming conclusion of said epic entitled The Neon God Part 2: The
Demise, which is slated for release through Sanctuary/Metal-Is Records on
September 28th.

Produced & mixed during this summer, Blackie was ardent in his mission to
make The Neon God Part 2: The Demise as potent and intense as its story
dictates, so much so, that he was flying back & forth between venues and his
Fort Apache studios in Burbank, CA during the first two weeks of the band’s
summer tour! The Neon God addresses a tale of deep emotional quandary and
revelation, the intoxication of power and the consequences of corruption.
It is a story that everyone has experienced at one time or another - the
need to belong, the quest for love, the desire for control, and the futility
of vanity. Lawless, forthright and ever evolving as a musician and a human
being, drew influence for the album’s concept through extensive observation
of the world and numerous soul-searching journeys through the deserts of
America’s Southwest. Part 1: The Rise was met with radiant applause,
heralded as “compelling” by Metal Edge Magazine, “peerless” and “bombastic”
by the Las Vegas Mercury, and Hit Parader Magazine attested that it “rarely
ceased to entertain”. LA Weekly embraced the concept with vivid appeal,
testifying the album as “a lavalike mountainside flow that pulls you
inexorably from track to track.”

Deplorably renowned for his lewd behavior coming up through a music
community where ‘excess’ meant ‘success’, Lawless frequently engages in
musical endeavors that strip his soul and offer glimpses of the man beneath.
In a way, each progressing W.A.S.P. release is another chapter in the
uncompromising life of Lawless. With a catalogue spanning nearly 20 years,
early titles, such as the self-titled debut and The Last Command represent
youth and the indulgence of freedom. Releases like The Crimson Idol, Unholy
Terror, and Dying for the World peel the blinders from society’s eyes and
reveal humanistic truths and offer foresight into an unwritten future.

Ambitious in design, but no less persuasive than previous work, W.A.S.P. has
reached a milestone many years in the making. The powerful, high-emotion
story is set to the backdrop of W.A.S.P’s trademark nail-biting, theatrical
style, from the guitar and soul-searing vocal performance of Blackie Lawless
to the intense percussion work of returning drummer Stet Howland, the
bludgeoning bass work of Mike Duda, and the rampaging lead guitar styling of
Darrell Roberts.

A second leg of The Neon God World Tour is anticipated to commence in early
October, bringing yet another inimitable performance to rabid, music hungry
fans, for a W.A.S.P. concerts are no average performances. As Orlando
Weekly humbly states, “they know that ‘rock show’ is comprised of two
equally important words.”

Cyber-Metal Pioneers FEAR FACTORY Embark on North American
Co-Headlining Tour with Lamb of God

New Single Featured in Upcoming Lion’s Gate Film Saw –
In Theaters October 29th

Brand New Maxi Single with Bonus DVD EP, Bite The Hand That Bleeds,
In Stores November 16th Through Liquid 8 Records

Los Angeles’ FEAR FACTORY is on a mission; a mission to infiltrate America’s
infrastructure by way of numerous multimedia channels. Having already
circled the globe twice in support of their acclaimed Billboard Top 30
charting Liquid 8 Records debut Archetype, which has moved over 100,000
units in its relatively short shelf-time, the band is gearing up to invade
North America’s stages once again, this time co-headlining with aggro-metal
incumbents Lamb of God. However, this is merely the tip of the proverbial
iceberg for one of the hardest working bands in hard rock today.

October 29th will see the nationwide theatrical release of the Lion’s Gate
Films shocker Saw, starring Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon, The Royal
Tenenbaums, The Color Purple), Carey Elwes (Shadow of the Vampire, Kiss The
Girls, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Crush), Monica Potter (Along Came A
Spider, Con Air, Patch Adams), Dinah Meyer (Starship Troopers, Birds of
Prey, Dragonheart) and directed by newcomer James Wan. The movie stunned
audiences at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, which called it a “landscape
of indelible horror”. FEAR FACTORY’s latest single “Bite The Hand That
Bleeds” will not only be on the film’s soundtrack (released through Artists
Addiction Records), but is featured as the movie’s closing credits theme.
Music Supervisor Jonathan Platt explains the choice, “I played the song for
Saw producer Gregg Hoffman, and he loved it and decided to use it for the
end title theme. This is a very dark movie, and the song really works well
with the film’s tone. The mood, music, and textures of the song accentuate
this movie.” A trailer for the film can be viewed here:

http://www.lionsgatefilms.com/profile/saw.php
and the movie’s official website is http://www.sawmovie.com/

FEAR FACTORY frontman Burton C. Bell, visibly excited to be involved with
the project, offers his thoughts, “This is definitely the kind of movie I
would go see, because it’s really dark, along the lines of Se7en, Silence of
the Lambs and 9mm. Though not the first movie we’ve ever had a song
[previous credits include Hideaway (1995), Mortal Kombat (1995), Carrie 2
(1999), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)], it’s the one I am most
anticipating.” The band had also worked formerly with Platt for the
soundtrack to the 2004 sci-fi anime film Galerians: Rion, which featured a
remix of the single “Archetype”, and a special video for the track was
filmed. Bell continues, “We have always approached our music as a
soundscape, we write to the world that we see around us, and it definitely
fits into the modern world – full of conflict, struggle and hate. The music
exudes this aggressive nature, but channels it through a sweeping soundscape
of raw emotion.” A subsequent video for “Bite The Hand That Bleeds” was
recently filmed and includes excerpts from Saw in a conceptual fashion.
Look for it on hard rock video programming throughout the country very soon.

FEAR FACTORY’s next endeavor will be released on November 16th in the form
of a CD Maxi Single with Bonus DVD EP, entitled Bite The Hand That Bleeds
And Related Archetypal Imagery. The disc will feature an audio track for
“Bite The Hand That Bleeds” as well as the video for Archetype’s first
single “Cyberwaste”, the three videos for “Archetype”
(narrative/performance/anime), and the Saw-rendered video for “Bite The Hand
That Bleeds”. Bonus materials include exclusive FEAR FACTORY ringtones and
a limited edition fold-out poster created by renowned horror-comic book
artist, Ben Templesmith (30 Days Of Night, Hellspawn), who had produced a
draft for Archetype’s original cover art concept upon Bell’s request. A very
eager Templesmith elucidates, “Burton found me through the comics work I'd
done for IDW Publishing, as my book 30 Days of Night is one of the biggest
selling horror comics in years. I leapt at the chance, as I'd been listening
to FEAR FACTORY way back when I had been drawing that damn thing! The power
of their music was pretty influential on me. As an artist, I tend to want a
whole bunch of 'atmosphere' in my work, and the best way to help get that is
playing music in the background. FEAR FACTORY just has that special vibe
that helps push me when I need to go in a certain direction.” Consequently,
the success of 30 Days Of Night has led to numerous sequels and a major
motion picture option was recently picked up by Sony Pictures, reportedly to
be helmed by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead, Dark Man).

Simultaneously to this, FEAR FACTORY is working on an upcoming covers album
of tracks that influenced them over the years, and they are hammering out
ideas for the inevitable remix version of the Archetype album – a concept
the band is famous for. Guitarist Christian Olde-Wolbers has also recently
announced the confirmation of a COW Signature Guitar series he secured
through Jackson Guitars. The model will be presented at the NAMM conference
in January and will be released in 6-string and 7-string configurations.
Drummer Raymond Herrera has set his sights back onto videogame and movie
music, composing tracks for the sequel to his recent work for the soundtrack
to the streetracing film Mischief Invasion, as well music for Namco’s Dead
To Rights 2 and Sony’s Gran Tourismo 4 videogames.

FEAR FACTORY’s achievements will be discussed at length on the nationwide
syndicated radio program ROCKLINE with Bob Coburn on October 11th at 11:30pm
Eastern/8:30pm Pacific. Fans are encouraged to call in with questions
during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). See www.rocklineradio.com for
participating stations.

The band is focused, however, on making this fall tour a success, and
touring the country with Lamb of God is undoubtedly a crushing prospect.
Bell proposes, “It’s great to be heading out on the road with Lamb of God.
It’s great to see a relatively young band bringing a fresh perspective to
the scene…finally a new band with balls!”

MELIAH RAGE Performing Two New England Area Festival Events
as Reunion CD Release Parties

Additional Screaming Ferret Wreckords Artists Scheduled To Appear

Boston hard music pioneers MELIAH RAGE are not resting on their laurels to
promote the release of their inventive reunion release Barely Human. A
video has been filmed for the title track, their music was spotlighted in an
episode of FOX TV’s Emmy Award winning series The Shield, and now the band
is scheduled to appear at two upcoming New England area heavy metal music
festivals that are doubling as CD release parties.

Formed in Boston in 1986 (and featuring Godsmack’s Sully Erna on drums for
the release of Unfinished Business), MELIAH RAGE were true pioneers in the
thrash metal field. After a 10 year absence from the studio, the band
announced their return with a true heavy metal onslaught, the new studio
album Barely Human. The disc was released worldwide August 24th, 2004
through Screaming Ferret Wreckords/Escapi Music.

The Metal Nation: Northern Aggression festival will occur during the weekend
of October 1st & 2nd at the Bomb Shelter in Manchester, NH. The lineup will
include Seven Witches (who are also utilizing the show as a release party
for their upcoming album Year of the Witch) and Metal Blade Records artists
Beyond the Embrace, as well a host of Screaming Ferret Wreckords developing
artists, including Tearabyte (an exciting band from Texas promoting their
second release for the label, Gloom Factory), Red Right Hand, Candy Striper
Death Orgy, Distrust and new signees The Accursed. More information on the
festival and complete band lineup can be found at
www.northern-aggression.com

The Sayonara Summer Fest is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at the
Bellingham Sportsman Club in Bellingham, MA. Along with MELIAH RAGE, this
2-stage festival will feature 28 bands (based primarily in New England and
the East Coast), one of which features former members of the prominent New
England band Reveille: Truth Ending Cycle. Also included are several
Screaming Ferret Wreckords acts, namely Candy Striper Death Orgy, Red Right
Hand, and The Accursed. Denythefallout is also scheduled to perform and
features Scott Harrington from recent Nuclear Assault fame. In true
carnivorous form, the Sayonara Summer Fest includes an all-you-can-eat
pig/cow roast, and the debauchery ensues for the entire day.

MELIAH RAGE is planning to follow the festivals with a North American tour.

KICK AXE RETURNS WITH NEW STUDIO ALBUM 'KICK AXE IV' ON
SONG HAUS MUSIC

'KICK AXE IV' IS THE FIRST ALBUM FROM
THE CANADIAN HARD ROCKERS SINCE 1986

Kick Axe, one of the best and most successful heavy rock bands to burst out
of Canada in the 1980s, returns with 'Kick Axe IV,' its first album of new
material in 18 years. 'Kick Axe IV' is released by Song Haus Music.

The band includes vocalist Gary Langen, guitarist Larry Gillstrom, guitarist
Raymond Harvey, bassist Victor Langen and drummer Brian Gillstrom. All of
the members contribute vocal harmonies.

The 14 songs on 'Kick Axe IV' are: "Right Now," "Rockin Daze,"
"Consolation," "Turn To Stone," "Do You Know," "Who Knows Ya," "Woe,"
"Time," "Slip Inside My Dream," "Who Says," "Rock N Roll Dog," "Black
Heart," "City Lights" and "The Only Ones Here."

"We always felt like the band had unfinished business. Every couple of years
we would talk about getting back together, and now we are finally able to do
that," says Larry Gillstrom. "It took us two years to put 'Kick Axe IV'
together. There were a lot of songs to choose from."

The band was originally formed in Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1976 by Larry
Gillstrom and brothers Victor Langen and Gary Langen. Ray Harvey soon came
on board and by early 1978 the band relocated to Vancouver, British
Columbia.

"The move to Vancouver really changed our outlook and we were able to build
up a great local following," Larry Gillstrom says.

Gary Langen left the band before the end of 1979. In 1980, Larry Gillstrom's
brother Brian Gillstrom joined on drums and Charles McNary climbed aboard as
lead vocalist. Kick Axe was still not entirely happy with its lineup, and
national advertisements resulted in Milwaukee native George Criston earning
the lead vocalist slot, and he relocated to Vancouver in 1982.

Kick Axe signed with Pasha Records and recorded its 1984 debut 'Vices' with
producer Spencer Proffer. "Heavy Metal Shuffle" was a modest hit from the
album, which very nearly went gold after a well-received tour opening for
Judas Priest. The follow-up album, 'Welcome To The Club,' was issued in
1985. The band also recorded two songs for the 'Transformers: The Movie'
soundtrack but record company brass were afraid the band's name was not
suitable for the young audience, so they were credited as Spectre General.
'Rock The World' was released in 1986 but severe business-related problems
going back to 'Welcome To The Club' caused Kick Axe to fade away by 1988.
But the band never formally broke up.

The members all stayed in touch and many remained involved in various
aspects of the music business.

"Several of us still played in groups just for fun, or wrote songs for other
bands. I got into developing software and video games and have been
fortunate enough to be successful at it. My brother Brian started a
limousine company that's now the biggest one in Vancouver," Larry Gillstrom
says. "After leaving the band initially, Gary played with bands in clubs.
Raymond had left the band before 'Rock The World' and he joined the
Vancouver band Rock & Hyde, which was Bob Rock's old band. Bob went on to
produce albums for Motley Crue and Metallica."

Awareness of Kick Axe never waned: the first two albums were reissued on CD
to brisk sales and positive reviews; copies of 'Rock The World' have sold on
eBay for $150 (U.S. dollars); and several fan-created web sites have been
started, including one in the Czech Republic (www.kickaxe.wz.cz). 'Kick Axe
IV' is a deeply satisfying album for Kick Axe because they were able to
translate their accumulated wisdom into richly rewarding songs.

Upon the reformation of Kick Axe two years ago, Gary Langen came on board.
Criston was not able to participate due to his behind-the-scenes commitments
with the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Dido and Avril Lavigne. With the
exception of Gary Langen, the lineup on 'Kick Axe IV' is the same as 'Vices'
and 'Welcome To The Club.'

Kick Axe plans to hit the road again for an extensive tour. The band has
already performed one highly successful, eagerly awaited reunion show. It
took place in August 2004 in Regina, Saskatchewan, their hometown, which
also happened to be the last city they performed in during their original
run.

Longtime allies within the media and radio have encouraged Kick Axe's
return. The band plans to stick around.

"There is no foreseeable end at the moment. Tasting it again is very
enticing," Larry Gillstrom says. "We went into this without preconceived
notions of how the music would sound. 'Kick Axe IV' is very emotional and
from the heart. We all got what we wanted out of the album."

MOTORHEAD CANCELS U.S. TOUR DUE TO INJURY SUFFERED BY LEMMY

Motorhead regrets to announce that the U.S. tour scheduled for
September/October 2004 is canceled due to a foot injury suffered by
vocalist/bassist Lemmy.

Lemmy injured his foot on stage about month ago while touring in Europe.

Lemmy, ignoring the pain and against his European doctor's recommendation,
completed the few remaining shows on the Motorhead summer festival tour.

Since he was not able to rest his foot for a while, Lemmy's injury got
worse, creating some complications that had to be addressed.

The U.S. doctor insisted under no uncertain terms that Lemmy stay off his
foot for several weeks in order for it to heal properly.

Motorhead will return for a U.S. tour in March 2005. Lemmy, guitarist
Philip Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee hate to disappoint their fans but it
is necessary for Lemmy's injury to heal so that Motorhead can rock long
into the future.

Motorhead's latest album, 'Inferno,' has earned the groundbreaking band the
best reviews of its career. The Associated Press calls this
Metal-Is/Sanctuary Records release "their best album ever ... a 12-track
opus that packs as much power, punch and attitude as anything that's ever
been committed to tape."
